The first attribute that you will recognize as uniquely boutique is the real flame maple binding. Other unique touches like the mini-humbucker neck pickup, compound radius fingerboard, highly figured quilt maple and swamp ash body further separate the 1955 from those high volume production guitars.
Sonically, the Rockfield pickups are perfectly voiced for the 1955 model and each can be independently switched from humbucker to a traditional single-coil tone with the GREAT 8 electronics mod. It delivers eight distinctive tonal options and all are just a simple click, push or pull away.

Recently purchase my Michael Kelly 1955. Have to say I'm very happy with my purchase. Visually handsome guitar. Great looks are only the beginning as this well built instrument with design electronic features and material will give more expensive guitars a run for their money. I'm a beginner to playing guitar so I wanted something I could use everyday and I have to say two things stand out with this model: 1) its light weight make this a pleasure to hold and play for a long period of time and 2) the "Great 8 electronics mod" produces 8 different unique tonal voices. There are a variety of different tones you can get from this guitar and they work very well with any style of playing. People this is a quality guitar at a very affordable price. I recommend it very highly.
