Today's Gibson 2018 Limited Edition Left-Handed SG Standard Electric Bass recreates the classic, dual-pickup version, staying true to the design and specs of the original, including the popular 30.5-inch scale length.

During the height of Gibson's original "Golden Era," the company's only bass guitar at the time—the EB0—underwent the same radical transformation as the Les Pauls, which were being redesigned as the now classic SG. It was a bold move and it paid off, bringing Gibson basses to the forefront.

I've waited over fifty years to get this lefty, and am not disappointed. I bought a '65 EB-0 (right handed) until it finally died;then got the Epiphone EB-0. The neck on this SG, is super fast, but a bit wider than the Epiphone. Great tone,and I like the separate volume controls.It came with roundwonds;I immediately replaced with nylon tapewound-great bottom. Overall, a great bass with a fair price.
