DSM Noisemaker Sub Atomic Bass Distortion and OD Pedal

No longer available at zZounds
Add some thunder and grit to your tastiest bass lines with the Sub Atomic. Blend in just the right amount of clean lows to rumble the floors of any venue.

The Sub Atomic processes the highs and lows separately to get a dynamic and aggressive distortion on the mid-highs, and a clean, tight and warm low end thanks to its unique cascaded CMOS architecture, and, as usual with DSM Noisemaker products, versatility with no compromises is a checked box.

The High side has a High Drive control, ranging from sparkly cleans to all out grind, and a Drive Voice switch, with High Boost, Mid Boost or flat response options.

It's clean Sub (Lows) side can be tailored with the Sub LPF switch, with 100Hz, 1kHz or no cut options. Just try the Sub LPF at 100Hz, Drive Voice at Treble boost, and get a scooped monster tone, or just the Sub side cutting 1kHz for a Motown vibe warmer than the sun thanks to the tubey vibe from the CMOS inverters.

With the Blend control, you can get the perfect balance between distorted highs and lows, and then find the right amount of high-end smoothness with the Tone control.

I’ve been playing bass for over 25 years, and this is by far the best-sounding, most useable bass drive pedal I’ve ever used. Lots of useful, great-sounding bass tones that really cut in a band setting. It allows you to get this killer, snarly rock tone in the mids and highs, while retaining strong, clean lows. The blend control works very well to help you find the perfect balance between the two. I compared this directly to a Darkglass Microtubes X. The Darkglass is a good pedal in its own right, but the DSM just flat-out sounds better. It’s also obviously built well and doesn’t take up much space on my pedalboard. Highly recommended!!!
