Take a portal to the past with this beautifully worn-in Premier Tammany acoustic. Its shallow body depth and C-shaped neck offer supreme playing comfort.

Introducing the D'Angelico Premier Tammany—a non-cutaway orchestra model and portal to the past. Rich in mid-range and crystal clear across all six strings, the Tammany's open-pore satin finish on its solid mahogany top makes for remarkably warm tone, truly feeling and sounding like a vintage instrument. The Tammany also boasts exceptional playability—with a slightly shallower body depth and a C-shape neck profile. Antique bronze hardware complements the Tammany's aged finish, rounding out its classic turn-of-the-century aesthetic.

I bought this as a back-up as my wonderful Guild D 25 (1971) was going to a luthier friend for some much needed TLC, for an unknown length of time. I've grown to love mahogany guitars and I've always lusted after D'Angelico guitars. Also as a semi-retired 72 year old, old fart I'm on an extremely tight budget. I'm very happy with it. I can tell it'll one day mellow into a sweet instrument as I play it every day. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the aged finish on the body. (Hence my 3 stars on the Features category). I shouldn't complain as the beautiful D'Angelico neck design should more than make up for it. I wish my starter guitar 52 years ago could have been this excellent an instrument.

Musical Background:

I've played guitar (poorly) for 50 years. Just play at home, occasionally with friends.

Musical Style:

Folk/blues.
