"AWSOME LITTLE MIDGET"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Its good to go
Sound
As a Karaoke host I've been using an old clunker Pyramid DJ mixer. It just barely got me by. I've pick this little yamaha and its absoulutly the cheapest and the BEST purchase I've ever made! Sound quality EXELENT, effects are awsome. No more searching around for standalone effects. Sounds awsome with both my yamaha amp or my QSC. Couldn't ask anymore of a little mixer
Features
Doesn't come with any accessories
Ease of Use
Well my 10 year old figured out most of the features when I wasn't looking.. Easy enough for ya???
Quality
I think this product is great for the road, but I'd like to see it made with an all steel body instead of plastic.. It's a little on the lite side. Had it tip over from cables before.
Value
TOP NOTCH FOR THE GREAT PRICE
Manufacturer Support
Haven't needed anything yet with this one.
The Wow Factor
Again, metal not plastic

"Very Nice"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Until im ready to move up in my business
Sound
Ok its not DiGiCo Quality but its still very good. It has a good clean sound with no noticeable ground noise(it doesn't produce hum or buzz)
Features
The Features in this board are very good for its price range. The compressor pretty much sucks so don't expect it to work. the effects surprisingly work very well and when set up right they sound very nice
Ease of Use
If you know what your doing on a sound board then its very easy to get it up and sounding nice. Its very versatile and you can get almost anything you need out of it.
Quality
It has a plastic construction but is still very durable. i use it for small pa gigs and it most of the time is in an old suitcase. so it actually protects itself quite well
Value
This board is amazing for the money!!!
Manufacturer Support
Yamaha is great at customer care
The Wow Factor
Its Very Nice You Should Want One

I bought this mixer to use with a Tapco 800 watt power amp, mainly for our band practice sessions. I find I have to turn the controls nearly to full in order to get enough volume to hear my vocals during practice. I had previously used the power amp to run monitors at our gigs, and it has plenty of power, so I'm wondering if the mixer is somehow "restricting" the signal, or perhaps the Yamaha has inferior mic pre-amps. Not sure of the technical jargon or how the mixer would undermine the power amp, but it really seams I should be getting more volume at lower level settings on the mixer. The effects work well and are easy to dial in.

I ordered a "blemished" Yamaha MG82CX Stereo Mixer with Effects after learning that "blemished" typically means a customer return. It arrived looking brand new, works beautifully and I couldn't be happier.

Sound
I like the product for the most part. We did use a Voco Pro wireless microphone system with it and you need to buy additional wires to be able to control each mike individually, not something we knew at the beginning. All in all it works great for small venues.
