Sound
This is one very impressive electronic piano. The Grand Piano setting is outstanding and there are boo coos of other voices that are just as nice. I'm a medium level player and this was a great investment for me at a very reasonable price. And, I love the zzounds 4 pay plan! I got it delivered right away and didn't have to wait until I had all the money saved up!

Sound
I love this keyboard. I bought it for my 7 year old to learn how to begin playing. I am truly pleased with the features, the expandability, and overall feel of this product. We could not be happier.
Quality
We have only had it for a couple of days, but I expect it to be around for a long time because of Yamaha's quality.
Value
It is worth the price, I compare it to Casio and loved the amount of voices and sample songs it included.

Sound
Very nice sound. Bought this to replace my YDP 223 because I wanted something easier to move and wanted to put my music on my computer to use on my videos. It's easy to record and save to my computer. Almost too many 'voices' and I have not had the time to learn all of them. I'm sure I will like it even more when I really start using. Has more features than I will ever use.
Quality
Seems very well made and I'm sure it will last a very long time.
Value
Worth the price with more features than I ever plan to use.

Purchased the Yamaha DGX keyboard for my son, who is a professional vocalist. Like many musicians, he studied piano growing up. He'd visit regularly to use his parent’s piano to rehearse, compose and arrange. Dad figured he needed one of own ... in his own darn house. Standard pianos, however, don't fit the transient 24 year-old lifestyle. The Yamaha DGX Portable Grand was perfect; fantastic sound with multiple variations. Compositions and arrangements can be saved to the computer. My son loves it! Big sound, but takes up very little space in the apartment environment. (Save the box and packing if you're the transient sort) An excellent instrument for the young professional. z-Zounds offered the best price I could find and delivered promptly. I'm very happy with the product, price and service.

"DGX-640 Portable Grand Keyboard"
I purchased this for my girlfriend who had not been playing regularly for years. She studied piano for 7 years and is just now getting back into it. She really loves the piano. We think it sounds wonderful, and have added a sub-woofer for when playing those low notes in the organ voices. Beautiful! A great purchase.

"proud owner 3 yrs dgx-640 portable grand"
i love my portable grand it brought me new life as a piano player im playing piano better than ever my first piano, actually my parents was a baldwin full size grand, i continue to be amazed at the grand piano feeling and sound. i just wish i could find a reasonably priced carrying case for it
