After years of practice and honing my skills I knew it was time I had a bass that reflected my abilities, without destroying the bank. Granted I would obviously rather have a $5,000 thumb bass, this beauty is perfect for those like me who can't afford a bass like that but don't want to sacrifice too much for a better price range. This is that bass, my friends. First off the thing just looks great. I wasn't too sure about the lacquer finish because I like a natural look, but this beast looks like some kind of expensive furniture! Beautiful and the finish is very strong and hasn't nicked or chipped. And the look is on top of all the great features of this ax! The adjustable nut and bridge really give you options in terms of tweaking this baby to your playing standards. Drop the nut and the action low to shred quick finger-style songs or raise it up a smidge to slap away. The bass sounds amazing no matter what. With these features it may take you some practice and what not to get used to all the ways to mess with the guitar but once you get the hang of it, you can set it up on the fly to whatever specs you desire. Granted it's not German made, but it still beat my expectations. Sounds great and plays great, can't ask for much more. If you aren't sure about this one I would say the next best would be the Rockbass $$ premium because they will usually be $100 or cheaper than this. But if that doesn't matter to you than this is the bass for you. Great entry for those who just want a warwick, or have been playing other basses and want to get an idea about the hype around Warwick. Like I said you can't beat the price. I believe you get more value buying a high-end Rockbass like this instead of dishing out and extra $500 or so to get a Corvette. An actual Corvette might be a real German-made bass and have a few extra bells and whistles (not too much), but this is more than comparable and exceeds past a traditional Corvette in some respects. For me, I honestly I want to save the "real" Warwick experience for when I can afford a top of the line bass like a thumb or a streamer. This bass will save you some money with sacrificing very little in light of it. Want a Warwick, look no further!
