"Amazing Overdrive!!!!"

The Tumnus is a fantastic little pedal. It is the best "Klone" I've ever heard or used. The smooth bass it produces and shimmering highs are true to its inspiration. It will work as a transparent boost, or crank it to produce an almost Tubes creamer like warmth with milder mids. It usually stays on all the time in my signal path. I miss it as soon as its off. It makes any guitar I play through it, sound better, be it my tele or LP. Its construction, size, and simple layout makes this little booster a no-brainer. Brian Wampler has done it again! Amazing job. Finally we get that legendary tone in a mini stomp format. This pedal is pricey but it is worth every penny in my opinion. Get it!!! You won't be disappointed.

This might be the best money you can spend for your rig. Got a great clean tone but need a bit more of a driven sound? This definitely sweetens the sound. Have a distortion or fuzz that you love but it thins the sound out? Put this behind either one and stack them to fatten the sound. I planned on using it for a bit more drive but it is so good just giving that little extra on the lower settings that I'm using it as almost another channel on the amp to add some beautiful light breakup. With my Fender Bassbreaker 15 I have a nice sparkly clean, kick in the Tumnus and get the drive going and then stack a Tone City Black Tea or an MXR Distortion+ for different levels of drive/distortion. The Tumnus just makes everything sound better. Almost makes me think I need 2 so I can use more of the gain! You won't be sorry getting one!

"Magic in a mini"

First of all, I never experienced the original, and I don’t know that I care. I often feel that light to medium overdrive style pedals sound really similar but each has a strength that isn’t as good as the others. I have a Princeton Reverb reissue because years ago I saw Howard of Catalinbread using their foundation overdrives into one and I thought it would be the perfect solution to the tube amp volume problem. It was. But back to the Tumnus, I had 2 other pedals that do sound similar to it without meaning to at certain settings. But for both boost and for drive the Tumnus is better. Setting it to unity yields just more of the great tone of my strats and S2 McCarty 594, just more harmonic content across the spectrum. If you drop the gain and turn up the output volume the tone not only gets louder but it smooths out the top end and makes bass richer and less flabby. Putting the gain knob around 1-2 o’clock is magic. It’s just a great, great almost crunchy tone and hitting it harder with your playing gives you the exact amount of drive you were trying for. Like it knows what you wanted. Then, if you play lightly it goes right back to beautiful and full cleans. It’s just a great little pedal that adds the perfect seasoning that I felt was lacking before. It’s a magic little mini, a total winner.

Super sounding awesome little overdrive that performs exactly as it describes. I was afraid it wouldn't play well with my Gibson SGJ and 65 Deluxe Reverb Reissue but boy was I wrong. I was also amazed how well it stacks with other pedals. Loved it with my Xotic BB Preamp.

"Awesome Pedal"

Was looking for a new OD, and I head Dan from TPS say this was maybe the best mini pedal available, regardless of type of effect. So I pulled the trigger, and it immediately became my favorite pedal. I put all my other ODs aside, and play with this almost exclusively [Nashville Deluxe Tele > Tumnus > Blues Jr] . Since then I have added the Catalinbread 5F6 to the mix. Thanks zZounds for financing my dreams!
