Of course I'd love to have other amps because I just like collecting them for their distinct, tonal qualities, but I don't have thousands of dollars to spend doing that, so this is a wonderful compromise without compromising if that makes sense.
Sound
The vast array of different tonal qualities is unlimited in this amp. Most bang for the buck hands down. Go with the 80+ because of the 12" speaker - more beef. More than enough power for small to medium sized gigs. Would be nice if it had a speaker out but I might add one myself. Overall, very pleased. Would highly recommend.
Features
Pretty much everything most players would need effect wise. Solid, sturdy, well-built and looks good.
Ease of Use
Given all the options it's fairly simple to use. It just takes time. You should be up and running in no time, and no cumbersome pedal boards to lug around, plug in and set up. Turn it on, and you're ready.
Quality
Well built. No problems. Also have a first gen. VT30 and that thing is bullet-proof. I assume this will be as well.
Value
For the price relative to the features, you CANNOT beat this amp period!!!
Manufacturer Support
NC - haven't ever had to deal with Vox directly
The Wow Factor
Vox did good on this one. Everyone I play with likes it and is very curious about it.

"Vox VT80 modeling tube amp"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars

My Bass player talked me into this amp, I wanted a tube amp but was looking at Fender, I play mainly rythem in a country-southern rock band so I really didn't need anything huge (we mic everything), He told me with the vox you get the tube feel and sound but you don't need to buy 10 peddals to get the different sounds you want, and Vox has all the power you need for anything....Well to my dissapointment he was right, I love this amp, I got the Vox VFS5 to go with it and man I don't think you could go wrong with this amp, it is definately not in comparrison to the Vox AC series, but you can get those sounds from this amp. With Vox Ac15-30, a clean sound, American metal, british metal, 33 diff models of amps from the 60s to today, plus many other effects. The peddal lets you pick 2 banks of 4 different settings that you can save and recall with just the push of a couple of buttons, plus if you have delay or any effect on that preset the button to recall that setting also acts as a tap tempo. Our band has a Fender Princeton, Fender Frontman, Ampeg Bass, Marshal 1/2 Stack and a Strwberry Blonde, and Gretsch Drums and this amp cuts through just fine. Some people say it is confusing at first, but if you find the sound you like save it, you can make adjustments all day long and revert back to the orriginal settings in a snap.

I am in love with this amp and I won't be searching for another one for a loooong time. If it were lost or stolen I would replace it the next day. Again the sound is amazing. Great distortion and cleans.
Sound
This amp sounds great! It's exactly what I was looking for. Great crunch distortion and crystal cleans. I didn't much care for the presets, however you can make and store your own sounds very easily. I play in a modern rock band and this is amp is loud. Very happy with my purchase.
Features
Had to pay an extra $50 for a foot control pedal. I realize everyone is doing it now but it still sucks. The features are standard on this amp. Nothing special but I love the sound.
Ease of Use
I find it very easy to save and store my own settings. I didn't even use the manual at all.
Quality
Feels well built. I would've liked knobs to be a little tighter but overall very sturdy.
Value
www.zzounds.com gave me a custom quote that crushed all of their competitors offers. I got a great deal on this. Sometimes you just have to ask.
Manufacturer Support
Still a new purchase so I haven't had to call service. Hopefully won't ever have to.
The Wow Factor
It looks very sexy. All of my friends want to ask her out.

This amp has features and sounds you wont need. But what you have to know is that it will have features and sounds that you will love, and if it could model one good amp for you, it will be worth it.
