With the technology changing so fast I do wonder about compatability and interfaceing. It would be nice to see some additional port types although it is impossible to predict whats down the road.
Sound
It continues to amaze me as I search for new "tones" when I am looking for a feeling or just a sound out of my head. I really have not even scratched the surface yet because I get caught up in the new sounds and the ideas they drive.
Features
No. I know it sounds picky but it would be nice if the controls were switched to the top front of the amp making them easier to see under different situations.
Ease of Use
Really no learning curve whatsover. Controls are clear choices are plenty. After some tinkering I found a new personal sound in the manual mode that just makes me drool. I wrote down each setting and copied them AND placed them in different areas for storage. I do not want to lose that sound.
Quality
I have not really put it under any pressure yet, hauling, setting up, unfortunate "incidents". But one look at it and I can't believe all I got for what I paid. I know the plastic "VOX" logo on the front is gonna take a hit. Allm in the life of an amp. I hope the "A" goes first, and it just stays that way.
Value
I looked hard and long. For my needs the size and versatility are perfect. I still can't believe the sound! Price vs. competitors and what you get sealed the deal.
Manufacturer Support
I have not had any problems as of yet. Initial transaction and registration went smoothly and quickly.
The Wow Factor
No way around it, it's pretty in all the right ways. Rugged front and recessed controls make me worry a lot less about the first ding.

If this last to the abuse of the road, I don't see owning another 2x12
Sound
I can't get over the sound of the presets! Just plug in and play to get anything from a Rory Gallagher to a Death Metal sound. I tested this beast with both cheap and high-end guitars and never failed to get a great sound. If you cannot get a decent sound out of this amp, perhaps a tuba would better suited for your talent.
Features
The presets and the preamp tube make gig set-up a breeze. No more pedal boards or trains for me!
Ease of Use
If I don't have a problem with it's use, Forest Gump would have no problems either.
Quality
Built like an anvil so far
Value
Best value for a great 2x12 that I've ever tried.
Manufacturer Support
No reason to contact as of yet
The Wow Factor
Pleasure to look at. Metal on the front looks powerful,

"I Bought This Amp Back I Loved It So Much"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I owned this Vox model through college and played/practiced weekly rotating with my Marshall JCM 900 combo. This Vox slowly became my main squeeze for a few years, but due to being a broke dumb college guy I had to sell it. Fast forward 4 or 5 years to February of this year, and I find a used Valvetronix for sale online with the footswitch (I had bought the same one first hand after previously owning a VT), I didn't waste any time on making sure I took That Vox home with me, and I'm sure glad I didn't. I went home and immediately plugged this baby in and played it for 5 hours straight that evening. So, after a solid evening of dialing this thing in just how I had my old one curiosity got the best of me. I managed to find the original receipt online from the retailer that I purchased the VFS5 footswitch from and I just about fell over when I matched the serial numbers. I couldn't have gotten any luckier or asked for a better ending to this Vox's journey back to me, but I know for a fact that I will never make the mistake of selling it again. It's now sitting aside my Marshall JCM900 (and giving it a run for it's money I should add) just like it did 5 years ago.
Sound
The overall tones you can achieve from just the amp selections alone puts this amp at the front of the pack. Add the insane amount of affects options and you literally can't find an amp that sounds as nice WHILE being as versatile and well built as the VT100.
Features
Loved the in depth control you have over each channel and assigning specific effectsDislike:I wish an onboard tuner would have been available on the amp itself, or the footswitch
Ease of Use
HAVING THE OWNER'S MANUAL IS A MUST WHEN IT COMES TO BEING ABLE TO OPERATE AND UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING THIS AMP HAS TO OFFER. IF YOU HAVE LOST THE ORIGINAL IT'S AVAILABLE ONLINE.That being said, if you follow along with the instructions Vox includes in it's manual you'll undoubtedly be taken off guard and blown away with how in depth each tone setting can be manipulated
Quality
This Vox has been in circulation in my area, and was for sure used as a daily practicer and gigging amp by more than one musician than myself. Other than minor surface wear to the chrome grill ( Which I've never been to fond off, have considered a jet black or red paint job) this thing is as solid as the day I first bought it.
Value
This amp is ahead of it's time, and will be sought after by collectors years from now.
Manufacturer Support
Have never contacted Vox, but I will continue using their products judged on the performance of this model alone
The Wow Factor
I mean... It IS a Vox after all.

"Not willing to spend the money on all tube-Not willing to sacrifice great sound---This amp is your answer."

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

I plan on using and abusing this amp till it dies.
Sound
I bought this amp for my son. A great amp for him to grow into. The pre-sets make it very easy for him to dial in. As he gets older he will be able to customize his sounds with all the features. We also have a Marshall JCM 800 and nothing will replace that but the vox does a very respectable job, infact you will be impressed by the tube sound this puts out.
Features
They have done a nice job with the pre-sets. Most are spot on. Everything worked as it should.
Ease of Use
The pre-sets are simple and will get any rookie off to a quick start. As you progress into the world of different sound's this amp will offer you the features you want to expand your search.
Quality
As far as amps go I'm not into this for a lot of money so I didnt expect the world. Everything worked, nothing loose, packed very well, and not a scratch on it. Its heavy and very sturdy.
Value
I did my research on this. I wasn't willing to spend the money for the tube amps and that great tone. I wasnt willing to sacrifice great sound. This amp was my answer.
Manufacturer Support
They have a web based tone lab so you can dial in different sounds. Lots of options and this will help you learn the amp. Very helpfull. No warranty issues so I cant comment
The Wow Factor
I have always been a Marshall guy. Marshall makes a similar amp to this. I like the look of the Marshall better, but when your buying a piece of sound equipment you most likely will go with the better sound. Hand's down, not even close,Vox wins this one. Sorry Marshall.

"VOX Rocks !!!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I expect this amp to live longer than me , with routine tube maintenance and care.
Sound
years exp-30, guitars-Gibson LP68'Custom w/57's,LP Standard w/BBPro's, Fender Am Strat w/J.Beck Noiselss, other amps owned: Orange,Mesa, Marshall, Fender,Vox Ac30cc2.First impression: noticiable tube characteristics sounds, overtones, harmonics,Second: Mix with other instruments, the sound cut through without being lost at any time during performance.I did not experience ear fatigue after three hours, Vox did not loose the original tone, frequency as i have encountered with Mesa.Very pleased with the range of tones that can be achieved, blues, classic and scooped. Amp works great with pedals. Ibanaz HW TS808 is creamy and dead on , Fulltone Fatboost is awesome to gain fullness and punch when only a little is needed. Vox is LOUD!! Korg has never let me down when needed.i had plenty of Marshall amp and contacted Korg for warranty/service, and never had to contact them regarding any Vox i've owned.
Features
Chorus sounds pretty good , reverb is also very good rendition.only draw back i have found is the control/combination of pre set combinations.would prefer to create me own individual effects settings.more control with the footswitch would be great in the custom user settings.
Ease of Use
very easy to obtain the sweet spot. able to create the sweet feedback tones of the best botique amps. very minor tweeking using the factory presets and save to user banks is a breeze. very user friendly.
Quality
as i previously stated, never had to contact Korg for a Vox issue.
Value
impressed with the cost versus the final result- GREAT TONE !!! Great Job VOX !!
Manufacturer Support
Korg does stand behind their products with efficient communications to resolve issues in a timely manner.
The Wow Factor
Very good looking cosmetics ,looks great on stage,in your studio or even in your jam room !

"IF YOU BELIEVE ME, THEN GET THE VT!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I LOOK FORWARD TO PURCHASING ANOTHER ONE. THIS ONE I WILL PUT IN A ROAD CASE WITH CASTERS AND TAKE IT WITH ME WHEREVER I PLAY. I TRIED OTHER 2-12 COMBOS IN THIS PRICE RANGE. BUT THE VT100 HAS GOT A TRUE PROFESSIONAL SOUND. AS IF THE AMPS IT MODELS ARE REALLY ON THE STAGE. I TRIED THE LINE 6 SPIDER SERIES, MARSHALL MG SERIES, FENDER FRONTMAN SERIES, ETC. THEY SOUND PROCESSED. THE VOX DOES NOT. I REPEAT IT DOES NOT. THAT LONG SOUGHT AFTER TONE SINCE I STARTED PLAYING IN 1969 HAS FINALLY BEEN FOUND. I'VE HAD PLENTY OF GOOD SOUNDING ONE TRICK PONIES BUT THIS ONE DOES MANY TRICKS AND SOME.
Sound
THE SOUND OF THE VT100 IS INCREDIBLE. PURE TONE FROM A TO Z. RESPONDS LIKE A TUBE AMP. WARM, BEEFY, CLEAN, AND BALLSY WHEN OVERDRIVEN. I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR TWO MAIN SOUNDS FOR A LONG TIME, THE JAMES BROWN GUITAR SOUND AND THE EDDIE VAN HALEN BROWN SOUND. THESE SOUNDS ARE AT YOUR FINGERTIPS WITH THIS AMP. IT IS TOO EASY TO DIAL IN ANY TONE. I RUN STRAIGHT TO THE AMP. NO OTHER EFFECTS NEEDED. THE CHORUS IS GLASSY AND CLASSY. THE SEPARATE REVERB IS CLEVER AND SOUNDS GOOD. THE PHASER AND ROTARY ARE BOTH MUSICAL AND TRUE TO LIFE. THE AMP MODELS CAN KEEP YOU BUSY ENJOYING THEM FOR HOURS. THE SONG PRESETS ARE WHAT FIRST CAUGHT MY ATTENTION. UPON FURTHER EXPLORATION I FOUND THAT I HAVE 66 SOUND FOUNDATIONS TO CHOOSE FROM. THAT'S A LOT CONSIDER THEY COVER EVERY STYLE OUT THERE AND COVER THEM WELL.
Features
I PURCHASED THE FOOTSWITCH SEPARATELY BUT ITS THE BEST WAY TO CHANGE THE EIGHT PROGRAMS WHILE PLAYING AT THE SAME TIME. WORKS WELL
Ease of Use
DIALING IN YOUR EQ, VOLUME, AND EFFECTS COULDN'T BE EASIER BECAUSE IT SOUNDS SO GOOD AT SO MANY DIFFERENT SETTINGS. THE MIDRANGE IS THE BEST MIDRANGE I'VE EVER USED IN AN AMP. AND SINCE 1969 I'VE USED MANY, FROM THE BEST TO THE WORST.
Quality
I DID HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE FIRST PURCHASE, UPON THE THIRD GIG THE VOLUME WOULD GO DOWN AND UP ON IT'S OWN. ALSO BE CAREFUL TO PROTECT THE METAL GRILL ON THE FRONT, IT LOOKS LIKE IT COULD BEND EASILY. I SENT THE AMP BACK AND GOT A RETURN THAT IS WORKING GREAT.
Manufacturer Support
CONTACTED VOX ABOUT WARRANTY REGISTRATION WAITING TO HEAR BACK FROM THEM.
The Wow Factor
THIS AMP IS A COLLECTORS ITEM. THE DESIGN IS WELL THOUGHOUT. AND GUITARISTS DON'T NEED ANY PEDALS OR EXTRA GEAR. IF U JUST HAVE TO USE MORE EFFECTS THERE IS A SEND AND RETURN IN THE BACK. IT'S GOLD GRILL IS ROYAL. THE CHICKEN HEAD KNOBS ARE THE ONLY KNOBS I WILL EVER USE AGAIN.

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Sound

Ease of Use
The guitar i recommend for this amp is an ibanez RG321, but any guitar will work
Quality
THIS THING IS STONG ENOUGH TO STAND 100 NUCLEAR BOMBS! this amp is extremely road-worthy, and I take it everywhere. there is nothing wrong with the quality. I have no idea of how well the speakers are made, though
Value
yes, this product is definitly worth its price
The Wow Factor
I think the silver speaker grill is OFF THE HOOK! this amp totally impressed my guitar teacher
