To only use the fx you want, simply press the up down selectors at the same time. This means the buttons, NOT the footswitch selectors. If you can do this you just scored a Vox 847 wah and the original Vox wah as well as a bunch of other usable fx. Cannot beat the price.
Sound
The amps and cabs are nearly worthless. Too brittle and controls less than responsive. The VT amps have a 12AX7 tube preamp and without it this device is a pale reflection of the original usefulness of Vox amp modeling.
The wahs are quite good, worth the price of the box. The phaser, flanger, tremolo, rotory, delays, echoes, and verb are good. The compressor not good.
The manual is understandable to an experienced pro. Complete lack of documentation of the 100 patches in 10 categories. You can use them for examples...otherwise pretty bad...which leaves 20 user spaces for pretty good wah or multi fx. I would buy this again but be willing to read theanual or you will throw it against the wall...and the wall will break. It is very well built

Have not dealt with them. Their manual is short on understandability and accidentally creates the false impression that one MUST load an effect from each category...you do not.
The Wow Factor
Wow...a miniature wah pedal...could make an impression since it sounds full sized.

I purchased this pedal for home practice to mate up with a Vox Pathfinder 10 amp. I can get great sounds at lower levels than with my larger tube amp. There are some great overdrives on this pedal as well as other effects. Everything from rock and blues crunches to fuzz sounds. I previously had a Zoom multi-effects pedal that I thought sounded a bit digital to me but I do not hear that in this one. Pedal seems to be built solid so I am anticipating a having this for a log time.

Bought this after trying a Boss FDR-1 pedal. The FDR-1 sounded OK, not great but was plagued with digital artifacts in the reverb module which made it unusable.
For less money, the StompLab IIG does a lot more and is quite a bit better sounding. While no digital or solid state box is going to sound like a good valve amp, the Vox does a fine job, particularly when manually configured.
I could do without most of the programs which come with the unit, but setting up some custom programs yielded some fine tones with minimal artifacts. The user interface is rudimentary, but once one is acclimated, it's fairly easy build tones.
I bought this to play along with instructional videos on the computer, and it works well for that. I haven't put it through my amp (Tech21 PowerEngine 60) yet, but it sounds fine coming through my stereo. It's compact and versatile. I have a desktop Tone Lab (which drives the Tech21) and a DA5 amp as well, so maybe I'm just accustomed to Vox modelling, but it sounds especially good considering the cost.

I was a bit surprised by the small size when I got it. Makes you laugh. I bought it as a modeling amp to go direct into the PA. I hated the sound but later realized it has to be on the line out setting to get the impedance right. Wow, the things pretty amazing and useful on a gig. I'm trying to reduce the stuff I bring to the gig. This certainly is helping. The pedal is super small but you can make it work. Its worth $89 even for practice.

For the size, a brilliant buy. Great processing, and yes I got a vox wah for less than indepent pedal. Durable body construction. Only thing that could have improved is pad changing. For this price, I was very impressed....

Let's get the negatives out of the way. There should be a battery door instead of having to remove the bottom plate. You should be able to run just effects like reverb, chorus, etc while bypassing all amp modeling, cabs etc. I'm having to run a simulation of a Vox AC4 through my Vox AC4. Huh? That said, a decent stand alone reverb or chorus pedal can be more expensive than all of this great stuff. The ratio of useable programs to ridiculous programs is about 9 good to 1 useless, in my experience that's pretty high. Programming is not hard but does require some attention and thought. So far I have programmed two personal creations, and feel confident that now I can do others easily and fairly quickly. The unit seems to be very well made and sturdy. The pedal of course is not full sized but can be used with the ball of your foot. Overall I consider it to be money well spent.

I've been playing for a long time, but now just play at home or at friends houses.
