I won't be shopping for another delay. I'm very satisfied with this one. I may perhaps get an analog delay for the true analog sound, but really, this is all I need.
Sound
The sound is fantastic for a digital delay. The modern/vintage toggle actually makes quite a difference. In modern mode it sounds really crisp and clear (and better than my old BOSS DD-5), and in Vintage mode it sounds a bit warmer, softer, slightly dampened, etc, with some very subtle warbly effects added for that tape delay emulation. The LoFi/HiFi switch is even more subtle, with the LoFi supposedly rolling back the high and low frequencies a but, but I can barely tell a difference.
Features
Has easy to use and fast Tap Tempo. When In tap tempo you can adjust the repeats to different note lengths which is awesome. Stereo out. Also, the chicken knobs are great because they can easily be adjusted with your feet, which on the fly is awesome.
Ease of Use
Couldn't get any easier. There really isn't a way to make it easier. Adjust knobs to acquired taste.
Quality
Seems very sturdy. Nice solid housing. All knobs and buttons have a nice feel to them.
Value
Pretty pricey at full retail value, but I think it is worth it for the quality of the unit. I realize it is a signature pedal so Satch has to get his cut for lending his name to it as well.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't needed.
The Wow Factor
Attractive pedal. The green color and and rounded corners make it look nice with other pedals. I like the green and red color of the LED lights as well, like Xmas morning everyday! YAY! Also nice that Satch didn't request his name on the front display. I don't like when signature series gear has the artist's name on it where you can't help but see it; it feels like I'm not even playing my own gear then.
