Ordered the UAD SOLO and it is great, slapped it into my MAC PRO, and installed the software, Got all the UA Plug-ins I need to get that great analog sound. Shipped Quick and the price was among the best. No doubt I will be back for other gear.

This is by far the only "TRUE" analog DSP card Ive ever heard. The sound is phenomenal and I plan on expanding my UAD setup to include 2 More Quad cards.

Written by one of our gear experts!
I could easily see getting another card to augment this one. I will use this unit on every track I create, and if this unit broke I would buy another one. It has quickly become a must have for my home setup.
Sound
Well, the sound quality is obviously what this unit is all about. You can find plugins that emulate just about any kind of vintage analog gear you could desire for a fraction of the price. While purists will still prefer the original, the emulation is so good you can't ask for more for a home or project studio. Also available is the Precision line, which includes a wide variety of plugins which are designed to be completely colorless. Their Precision limiter and Cambridge EQ are both excellent plugins for anyone who wants to start mastering - they're both very powerful and completely colorless.
Features
All of the plugins feature the controls of the original, with some plugins actually offering more features than the original equipment (for instance, Fatso Sr adds extra compression controls that are missing in the Fatso Jr).
Ease of Use
Everything works as you would expect it to. I encountered no problems installing it, and the meter program lets you know exactly how much processing power you can use on the card. The only qualm I have is that there are some controls which are a little less than intuitive - for instance, some compressors feature an "all buttons" mode which is activated by shift clicking one of the ratio buttons. If you never watched a video or read the manual, you may never realize this mode exists, especially if you never used the real compressor before. There's no reason why they couldn't have added a 5th button marked "all buttons". Otherwise everything works as you would expect it to. The unti
Quality
The quality on this unit is excellent. This is highlighted both by the ease of installation and the high quality effects.
Value
It can't be beat. I truly feel that these effects are the best you could except to have for any non-professional studio.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to use it, but the website is super clear and very easy to navigate.
The Wow Factor
I drooled over this item for a year, and I was not disappointed when I finally got it.
