"Get it"

Much like the other reviewer on here, I got this while trading up for a Seagull. The Seagull was a great guitar, but there were some notes that were perpetually dead. For the money, it was a great guitar, but I found myself wanting more emotional expression. After looking at Martin DGT1 (or something like that, the unlacuqered D1 that's less expensive) and playing it, I thought I liked that guitar, until I tried this one. This Taylor blew the Martin, the Eastman, and another pricy guitar out of the water. The two biggest perks of this guitar are the feel and the sound. I know that not everyone pays attention to the weight distribution of a guitar, but this one is extremely easy to sit comfortably with, and the resonance is really spectacular. I also tried a $2,600 Taylor, and liked this one better because it was easier to play. The more nuanced players out there might want to go a little higher on the totem pole, but for the average music player of any skill range that isn't playing in a symphony orchestra, this guitar wil save you taking out a second mortgage, and will pleasantly surprise you every time you pull it out of the case. The case is really nice, as well.

Excellent guitar. I was upgrading from a Seagull (which I would also recommend- great guitars for the money). The DN4 is not flashy but is beautifully crafted and of course has a superb sound. I went with this model because I was looking for solid wood but also didn't want to have to take out a loan. The Taylors do get expensive. Comes with a great case too. - Haven't had manufacture support & doubt I ever will...

This instrument is impressive. Not only in it's simplicity of design but playability and over all sound quality. It's not really fair to compare this model to other high end acoustics because all are different and all have their distinct qualities, which are unique to each instrument. It's always a personal choice. This model appealed to me because of it's simple no frills design, tonal range and versatile playing ability with both flat and finger picking. This guitar has excellent projection and tone across the 6 string spectrum with both styles and sounds absolutely fantastic. Every string seems to sing.
