After playing the Taylor yesterday, I had time to reflect on the beauty of the guitar. I must say, you outdid yourself on this one. Fifteen left to go. The Taylor 900 series guitar is a most remarkable instrument without question. Presented to me as a present from my wife, I had reservations, not in her ability to select a fine instrument as she is a lifelong student and teacher of music, however I live and breathe music with my Martin and Gibson, now the Taylor has an esteemed place among them. The Taylor 900 is a beautiful guitar, such detail, beautiful abalone inlays, gold Gotoh tuners, flawless woods which produce sounds which have a full, open voice that are both warm and resonant. It has good balance across the strings, with a outstanding projection. There is in my opinion, a nice complexity throughout its tone, very easy to play, with a smooth buttery action. The setup out of the box was excellent, no adjustments needed. I am not a fan of medium strings, but I will continue with them as I am certain they are responsible for the full open dynamic range. This is one guitar you will cherish forever and it will become the "family heirloom". I can't find one thing I would change.

Taylors are known for sparkling chimey highs and very fast necks, but i've always steered clear because I require a lot of low end with my acoustic playing. This was exactly what the doctor ordered. Fantastic bass response with a lightning quick neck and the same brightness we've come to expect and love from a Taylor. And it doesn't just stop at great sound, visually it has beautiful inlays and gorgeous tonewoods. Overall a stellar guitar!
