When my beloved 1965 Guild 12-string required repairs that exceeded its value, I followed my guitar technician's advice and put the money into a replacement instead. The instrument I settled on was this Taylor 150e. I love my Taylor GS7, but I hadn't been impressed with other Taylor "low-end" instruments I'd tried. The 150e is different. It appears to be very well made, has a bright, sparkly sound (although not as warm as the Guild or as resonant in the bass), and plays like a dream. The easiest and most responsive action I've ever experienced on a 12. For an "occasional" 12-string player like me, it was a great choice.

Musical Background:

I've been playing guitar and banjo for 56 years, mostly for my own entertainment, but also semi-professionally.

I've only had it for a few weeks now but I just love it ! It sounds great as a acoustic or plugged in to a amp. It is without a doubt the easiest guitar I've ever played , easy on the fingers , very little pressure to get a clear sound , would highly recommend this guitar

After visiting many guitar showrooms and playing many guitars, this guitar is definitely a star amongst its class and possibly one greater than its own. The clarity and resonance this instrument produces is astounding and is miles beyond its Martin counterpart (D12X1AE) in sound and aesthetics. I am highly recommending this guitar.
Sound
The sound this guitar produces ranges from clear highs to deep lows.
Features
The onboard Taylor expression system is very responsive and is adaptable to crafting your sound to many genres of music.
Value
A Taylor 12-string guitar for less than a $1000 Dollars? This is a bargain.
