"Excellent value interface"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
Excellent detail. Best USB interface I've heard in this price range.
Features
As many inputs and outputs as you'd expect at this price. Good to have 2 XLR inputs with decent preamps and phantom power. Also nice to have the phono outputs.
Ease of Use
Very easy to install drivers. Up and running in a few minutes with no fuss.
Quality
Good quality construction. Looks pretty nice too.
Value
Can't imagine getting much better at this price.
Manufacturer Support
Not used as yet. Manual is more helpful than most.
The Wow Factor
Pracical and sexy

"Tascam US-122 Mk II"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars

Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
Works wrll with win 7 64x zZounds sound quality at a stellar price (I picked one for about $80 NEW) at Zzounds!!! Works well with Sonar. Could not get more easy to install. You gotta decent computer? You wanna record your own music? You wanna keep the cost low? Then this is what you want if you onle need 1 or 2 tracks at a time. I use mine to demo meterial all the time. I have Aarvarks (Q-10 x 2 - 24/96 - LX-6) and Line 6 (Guitarport and UX1) and Tascam US-122 (one original & 1 MK II) For small projexts (especially when using a laptop) my go to unit is my US-122 MK II !!! Why? Good sound quality -- ease of use -- and features like phantom power which lets me use my good condenser mics .... its a no brainer

"NOT FULLY FUNCTIONAL IN SNOW LEOPARD (YET)"

Overall: 1 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Value
Again, bad value for Snow Leopard, but if it is fully functional in other operating systems, it is a great value.
Manufacturer Support
NOT FULLY FUNCTIONAL WITH SNOW LEOPARD. Tascam's US-122mkii and US-122l do not show up in Snow Leopard's system preferences or Audio/Midi setup, and as a result you cannot output all your sound through the audio interface. They do work in all the DAWs i have tried (Garageband, Ableton Live, Audacity). BUT if you want to use an audio interface as Snow Leopard's main soundcard, look elsewhere.
