Sound: The Tascam bb1000 is great just as it is. I use it to record the group (Gospel) and the sound is just great. The only thing that i have a problem with is trying to connect equipment into the imput. Feature: imput for guitar Ease of Use: Sound is great,very easy to use,Have not been able to plug in instruments. Quality: Seem to be well made,ok for othe road if packed well. Carrying case would be nice. Manufacturer Support: No dealing so far. The Wow Factor: Just pratical Overall: I would replace it with somethine with more features,imputs,tracks etc.

Sound: Internal amp is not loud enough to use in a concert band setting where you want to play it back for students to critique. It will need to be hooked up to a sound system in order to overcome ambient noise in a larger rehearsal setting. Feature: Love it all EXCEPT for the lack of direct computer connectivity. mp3 to CD conversion takes much longer than a computer, so be prepared to wait, or just record in .wav to begin with. Ease of Use: EASY!! Quality: WELL done here. The screen could be just a touch larger. This product strikes me as very "prototypical", like Edirol's first flash recorder.....utilitarian.....needs some refinement in appearances/increased amplifier output/USB Connection. Value: For teh money, it can't be beat. Manufacturer Support: Have not needed it...manual is good. The Wow Factor: A great piece of gear for the musician/director who needs those quick reference recordings and needs to squeeze out a CD or two of them. Overall: Will use it for reference recordings until it dies.
