GREAT GUITAR...fell in love with it after playing my friends! Best acoustic/electric I've ever owned! EXCELLENT sounding, fantastic finish, nothing cheaply made!!! I was really surprised of the quality even though it came out of China. Fits me really well...not too large like a jumbo Epiphone that I first tried out,, and much easier to reach up the neck with the single cut away. Professional sounding for sure!!!
Sound
Crisp sound on the high notes nice and deep on the low side, clarity is unreal!
Features
Great materials, spruce and mahogany, fit and finish is superb and natural finish looks awesome.
Ease of Use
Don't care for the heavy gauge strings that came with it...appears to be .012...i'm used to .010 but the D'Adario's do sound sweet...just my personal preference, as I have arthritis and diabetic neuropathy in my hands and fingers so thinner strings get the nod for me.
Quality
Should last forever...after all Takamine is the "hardest working guitar!!!" Electronics sound really sweet through my 40 watt Peavy 10.
Value
OH YEAH!!!
Manufacturer Support
No...not yet for anything!
The Wow Factor
Looks alone aren't everything...but I sure look cool just holding it playing...and it does have a great sound!

My daughter has recently taken up the guitar, and as opposed to having new player wear and tear on my gear, I decided to get her started on her guitar collection. Initially she wanted the luna flora passion flower because it was pretty. I wasn't thrilled about the idea of having a purple guitar mixed with my gear, and I could see her outgrowing it within a year or so. with the help of a friend I set out to talk her into a guitar that she could grow into. He brought over a Takamine and we all passed it around. She loved it, so in short order I was able to talk her into the Takamine GN30CE-NAT Nex Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar. Looks great, sounds great, plays great. Worth every penny, and it's not PURPLE!!!!!! I didn't like the strings/cables that were strung up from the factory, and my buddy had to set it up a little better than the way it came out of the box. A gig bag would've been a nice addition from the manufacturer. This is an axe that my kid can learn and play on, and grow into for years and years. We love it, and I keep getting into trouble for messing with her gear now :)
