"Bast Damm Squier Out There Today!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I am keeping this guitar, and have no thoughts at all about getting rid of it.I do believe that it'll last me a lifetime. Then again,I'm a firm believer in taking care of your equipment and not letting it sit there and get all dirty.Take care of your stuff and it'll always be there for you. That's my motto.
Sound
This is the best sounding $200.00 guitar out there today, bar none.I play this through a Americanmade Peavey Studio Pro 112,and I get a nice country twang with it,and when I switch to the distortion channel,it's just plain out gives me that 70's Led Zeppelin/AC/DC tone, that I love so much.
Features
This guitar has a 3 way pup switch,2 sets of volume and tone controls that enable you to set the tone to your liking.I read prior reviews where people were saying that the tone knobs aren't that good, buit you know what? I haven't had any problem with them at all.
Ease of Use
Very easy to play, once it's set up properly. It's very playable with no problems at all. This just might be the best guitar that the Squier brand has out there today. But then again,I've always have been a sucker for a good Tele tone.
Quality
Here's where I give it a low grade. When I got this in,the action was very high off the neck and the tuners were loose, along with the intonation being off.I believe that this was just made and put in a box until it got shipped off.I tightened the tuners and imput, adjusted the pups, lowered the saddles, and intonated it.Now,it's perfect, and it sounds great. That were the only faults I could find with this guitar.
Value
I believe that this is the best guitar that is made under the Squier brand today. It sounds awesome, looks great, and is a keeper.I'm a Fender guy at heart,so this is a welcome addition to my arsenal of 6 string weaponry.
Manufacturer Support
Fender has always been very consumer friendly,in my opinion. No problems here.
The Wow Factor
It's a Telecaster that emits that 70's vibe. How could you not want it? I do wish that mine was a different color though, like maybe a Sunburst,to go along with my strat.

"Don't believe the headstock-haters....try one of these out for yourself."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I love pretty much everything about this quitar, as anyone reading this could probably surmise from my review. If some crual fate were to befall it, I'd HAVE to get another one.
Sound
I've not gigged this guitar yet, but have used it both in recording and rehearsal stusios and it totally stands up against guitars many times the price. I play indie/post-rock and shoegazery type stuff and the tome I get from the p90s on this, both clean and through effects is amazing. You get that great chiming, sweeping indie tone through it clean, but it's totally capable of rocking out once you add some distortion to the mix too!
Features
It feels nice and solid. The agathis body is weighty to say the least. It feels totally solid and well-built. I would assume that mine had been set-up before being displayed in the shop, as it played amazingly immediately. Put it this way, I demoed several guitars when I bought this. All of them were more expensive (some were WAY more expensive!) This one won.
Ease of Use
Very playable. If you like playing electric guitar...look no further. Instant cheshire cat grin straight away upon playing it.
Quality
Seems really reliable so far. Well put together. I have read reviews talking about this needing setting up or feeling a bit fragile in places, but mine seems to be built to withstand a nuclear holocaust. I have no doubt that it will stand up to the gigging it will inevitably be getting very soon.
Value
This guitar played better than any of the others I tested. I had the budget (and was totally willing) to buy a Fender when I went in. I played several guitars and this played and sounded better than any of them. I can't believe I got a guitar of tis quality for this price. It felt like the best deal ever!
Manufacturer Support
No opinion either way, haven't had to test this at all.
The Wow Factor
I'd rate this a 10 if it weren't for the disparaging remarks people make when they see the word squier on the headstock. That said...it's worth it to see them eat their words once they play or hear it really! But yeah....it looks great, unique style and has the "wow" factor. NB. I have the blond custom II with the duncan-designed p90s.

"Squier Shmier-Put a piece a tape over the name. It's about sound remember."

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Try it! LOL!
Sound
Sounds great and melts the tubes in my Mesa nicely. I wouldn'y use it in place of my Les Paul on the metal tunes but man, everything else just drips out of these P90's. Tone and volume control is a bit cheesie but getting the right pots in this puppy would bring it up to a 9.
Features
Out jack dislodged from the guitar after its first tryout at home. I saw entrails coming from it and was disapointed. Fixed it quick though because after giving it my custom set up, I was not about to part with it. I needed to set the truss, action and into. Was way out. Luv the neck and Pickups.
Ease of Use
I play Les Pauls. I wanted a lighter warmer tone w/out that strat setup. I got it!
Quality
The quality is in the parts that are most important. A bit of inspection before leaving the plant(and a new jack design) would really help out the amature.
Value
Try one through a quality rig and you tell me how much you would pay.
Manufacturer Support
Don't need any (yet)
The Wow Factor
The only thing I don't like about the look is the "Squier" label. But thats just my pride that needs fixing. And some new Pot knobs.

"Good guitar, descent price"

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
i love this guitar but it could be better, especially if it came in white and had a better shaped body. If it got stolen, i would find and beat down the theif and take it back.
Sound
The sound is fairly descent for the price, but it does the job
Features
The body bugged me the most. it is completely flat in top and there are no cuts for your body. it actually gave me a "burn" on my arm.
Ease of Use
set it up, plug and play
Quality
i am surprised with the quality. i dropped it many times and it only have one small chip in the body and it barely noticeable. The finish is beautiful and well done
Value
I bought this for 230 from zzounds a year ago and that price seems perfect for the guitar
Manufacturer Support
never used it
The Wow Factor
From the picture is it hot. in person it is hot. damn sexy :D

"Squier Custom Telecaster Review."

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I'll keep it even when I buy the Fender. I like its humbucker concept. I would replace it if lost or stolen.
Sound
Once tuned it sounds great. Humbuckers are fantastic. Individual volume and tone pick up controls allow for a vast area of sound combination. A great concept. In my case, the bridge pick up would not function when the pick up selector switch was put in the combination position. Played separately, the pickups produce great sound.
Features
The only accesories included were the truss rod and saddle allen wrenches. A gig bag would be nice but at $249.00 I can't really complain.
Ease of Use
Tune it. Plug it in and you're ready to go.
Quality
Here is where the product let me down. This was a new guitar and as such should have worked perfectly out of the box. The bridge pick up would not work when the selector switch was placed in the combination position. It worked fine in the bridge position. One must assume that whoever installed the pick ups and the pick up selection switch didn't take the time or effort to perform a continuity check (at the least) on this components and the final quality assurance sound inspection (Is there one?)was rudimentry at best. In this occurance, the installation of the switch and quality inspections for sound rate an "F". Also, the frets have a rough finish to both sides and will be an unpleasant surprise for anyone who is playing fast.
Value
The price is great.
Manufacturer Support
I called Zzounds for support and they offered to: (A) Replace the guitar or (B)Issue a refund. I found the representative to be very helpful. As far as repair support with this problem, I called two music stores in my area and neither would do warranty work for the switch. One of these businesses was an authorized Squier dealer. I think that you should be able to have a defective switch under warranty repaired and not have to send the guitar itself back.
The Wow Factor
It's a good(The two defects on mine aside)cheap axe and fun to play. The Fender goes for a whole lot more.

"A top value unusual Tele!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
A good all-rounder, that looks like a Classy custom Fender and sounds more like an LP with some fender touches...
Sound
A clear, yet very a-typical fender sound. The humbuckers actually make it sound more like an Epiphone or any other LP than the traditional tele sound. Still - a good versatile tone with a lot of flexibility in dialing in the tone and warmth you're looking for. In the guitar I played it felt like the output volume was a bit low. Probably can be improved by raising the Pu's position.
Features
No special accessories except for an adjustment key for the neck. Still - the separate volume and tone knobs are a plus.
Quality
Really well made. I believe- on par with the Mexican Fenders. Clean finish. Good fit of both wood and metal parts. No loose ends visible. Electrical switches and knobs respond effective without any noise or hiss/ clicks etc. The guitar kept its tune for almost an hour of intensive playing.
Value
Excellent value for the money they ask for!
The Wow Factor
An attractive guitar in both looks and workmanship. It has a sound that's not a typical Fender sound - but if you like it as is (and I do) - it's a wonderful instrument to have.

I couldn't be happier with this guitar. It looks and plays superb.
Sound
This is my first electric. I've been playing acoustics in my basement for a few years and finally decided to go electric. It sounds great with my Marshall amp.
Features
The pick-up controls are stellar. They sound super.
Ease of Use
I've found this to be quite easy to play. The fret board is super smooth.
Quality
Neck was slightly loose upon arrival but after a quick tighten, it's quite solid.
Value
I wouldn't trade Rayneesha for any other guitar.
Manufacturer Support
No real questions as of yet.
The Wow Factor
Great looking guitar. The maple neck is quite striking against the all black body.

I will keep this guitar until the meatwagon hauls me up to boot hill feet first! If stolen, I would replace it with the same model.
Sound
This guitar sounds just like it should! I use a clean sound with my Marshall as50d amp. This Tele Custom rings like a bell.
Features
The only thing I missed was an owner's manual, but for just 249 clams I won't complain!
Ease of Use
Believe it or not, I owned the original American made Fender years ago and this Squire plays much easier! Hard to believe, but true. This little dude sounds very close to my Fender of many years ago.
Quality
For 249 clams the factory did a nice job. The intonation and action are close to perfect for my style of playing.I can do my pedal steel pulls on this Squire easier than I could on my Fender-believe it or not!
Value
If you want the Tele sound and can't spring for a Fender, give this dude some serious thought! The P90 pickups are sweet.
Manufacturer Support
Fender has always been A-1 in my book.
The Wow Factor
I have always been a Fender guy. The black body and pickguard look great with the maple neck. My wife was impressed!

"This guitar is one of the best out there for the price."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This guitar will last through all the gigging I throw at it and more.
Sound
It has great tone and sounds great with almost any effect used on it. It sounds great playing it clean or using distortion. It only slightly lacks when trying to play heavy distortion (like metal) but it can still be used fine for that purpose, it just won't sound the same as a Gibson or ESP when it comes to playing metal. Still retains that nice telecaster tone.
Features
The tone nobs and volume nobs allow you to control any sound that comes from this guitar. The neck is also nice and thin to allow for speedy solo's.
Ease of Use
Just plug it in and play, it sounds great in its factory setup and I didn't have to do much other than tune it to make it sound good out of the box.
Quality
This guitar feels very durable and its paint is flawless. This guitar is easily one of the best that I own and will be used in all my upcoming gigs. The only problem I had was to be expected, and that was the strings that came on the guitar were pretty low quality but a quick change of strings fixed all that.
Value
For $230 this guitar is a great buy. Sounds like a Fender, not a Squier.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to use it.
The Wow Factor
A Telecaster body with chrome, covered pickups. Need I say more?
