Has a very nice even rich sound for a Competition Cart, I was surprised when I installed these on both my Pioneer PLX-1000's you can't go wrong buying these if you are on the fence about what to use, get these they sound GOOD!

"M44-7's scratch out the compitition!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This is the needle of choice if you plan on doing a lot of scratching.....there is none better that I have found....the darn thing stays in the groove and you practically have to smash the tables with a sledge hammer to make it skip when it's set up properly,I have some Numark Tony Touch's and they SUCK in comparison....spend the cash on the M44-7's and you will be very happy you did.

"Best DJ needle out there"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Don't let the fact that it's a box cartridge fool you... I mean, it's the only reason why I rated features 4/5. However, the output is great, it stays in the groove, and it's cheaper (also better) than Ortofon. This will be the only DJ needle you will ever want. I will always come back for more of these as long as people still carry them.

"nice scratch cartdridge delivered on a well build mounting plate"

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
The m44-7 comes delivered as a ready to go unit. I've experimented something, butthe 23degree angle doesn't do the trick for me, i think that number is too great and based on a technics turtable. > igave it a slight touch and let the needle wear in with 5 grams on a new dvs record for an our...then 3.5 gr appr. . And started playing, this needle was a knew one and compared too the old one it moved too much when scratching, so i flattend the needle some biy gently pushing the cartrididge and lowered the arm a bit, which did the trick. The sound is ok. A little dull in my opinion, but you can do with it what you what...it almost never skips and the times it did was when i tried out new stuff using a lot of force, you can't go wrong with this stylus. I know gonna try qbert's concorde, just too see if it makes a lot of difference...i doubt it.pro's:- skipproof-sound is oke, not great-cheap replacement needles-you can experiment with your cartrdidge settingscons:-a ready to go m44-7 is just a little cheaper then a ortofon serato s-120 concorde-needle is less duarable then ortofon concorde's ones

Musical Background:
