Got this set for my Epiphone Les Paul Standard, added the covers. Install was pretty simple. These pickups sound very good and really improved the sound of this guitar and made it more enjoyable to play.

Musical Background:

Over 20 years, mainly play at home.

Musical Style:

Rock

"Killer classic rock sound"

I had my tech install these together with a new wiring harness in an Ibanez AS73 semihollow. I'm now getting great classic rock sounds from both the neck and the bridge. The pickups push the front end of the amp a little harder than I expected, which means you have to roll your volume back a little if you want a really clean tone, even out of the neck. But the clean is there if you want it, and they are outstanding for low-to-mid-gain sounds. Check out the Seymour Duncan site for links to sound samples. They're worth a listen. OT, making "Manufacturer Support" a mandatory part of the rating is stupid. Who knows that the support is like until something goes wrong? My pickups work, so I have no idea what the support is like.

"PERFECT FOR AN ULTRA WARM Les Paul!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

My Les Paul is has an extremely warn tone when played acoustically and I never liked the stock pickups. I tried Alnico II magnet pickups and that made it too warn and muddy. The Seymour Duncan Vintage Blues with Alnico V magnets and the Mojotone wiring harness are just perfect-bright and warm or using the tone control and volume control practically any tone one could envision. For my guitar, I could not have found a better pickup, period.

Musical Background:

I have been playing for a few years. Les Paul and a Strat. Play at home, mostly.

Musical Style:

Classic rock and the Blues.
