Sabian XS20 Splash Cymbal

Cut through the mix with this fast and bright splash cymbal from Sabian. The XS20 is extra-thin, but loaded with tone to make sure each accent is heard.

I would only purchase another splash cymbal if I damaged my XS20. I would only purchase another XS20.
Sound
This is a great little cymbal. Played by itself or with any other drum or ride/closed-hihat cymbal, it cuts right through with a full sound and quick, clean decay. With a crash or crashed ride, it adds a really nice accent. I play on a kit that has one crash (an old Z-Custom), one ride (an old Paiste 502), and this little XS20, and the XS20 gives both larger cymbals a great and wholly distinctive sound when crashed together. This cymbal is great for any kit, and though I have found myself to be rather splash-aversive as I've become a better drummer, that doesn't apply to the XS20. I'm not a professional, but in recording sessions, this cymbal has sounded fantastic. I have never played a better sounding splash.
Features
Make sure you have a mount for it. I use a little extension arm coming off of my ride cymbal.
Ease of Use
Hit it, baby.
Quality
I've calmed down my playing since becoming more technically proficient. When I first started, I broke a couple of crash cymbals (A B8 and a ZxT, both cymbals I would never recommend purchasing due to crummy sound), a 502 splash and a B8 crash/ride. This guy's stood the test of time, makes me sound better, and has inspired me to play better. The highest quality cymbal on my kit, and it's yet to let me down.
Value
I payed below market value for this cymbal. After some of the other cymbals I've played, I would say that this is a fair price for it. It might seem steep at first, but once you play with it, I think you'll be glad you got it.
The Wow Factor
You want it! That is, IF you want a splash cymbal. Like I said, I've discovered that I'm not as much of a fan of the splash as I initially thought I'd be, but the amount of distinction this little cymbal can give your other cymbals is simply amazing.
