I just bought the Roland Dj-808 controller and decided to get the System-8 due to its compatibility with the Aira USB on the controller. The convenience of syncing with Serato Bpm to control sounds is amazing!!!!! The synth is an endless sea of sounds because of the direct control of every parameter without digging through menus. The sequencer is really easy to use on the fly. I know little about the original synths this beast emulates and could careless about the analog digital war. This synth sounds really good and you can have 80's or 2050's sounds if you want. I can spend hours just making new sounds. It is really lightweight and pretty cool looking at night with the green lights. It is kinda hard to see the labels in a dark dj booth though. I love it ! Cannot wait for the Juno plug out!! Thanks zZounds for helping me get this piece of dream gear.

This is the best modeled analog synthesizer I've yet owned, and having played the Jupiter 8, Juno 60 and 6 you be hard pressed to tell the difference, and unlike the Jupiter 8 you never have to press the dreaded auto tune.. Bravo

Was in band in my youth but have never stopped playing
