"Decent, multi-purpose pedal."

Features
Polarity switch is handy when you have to use a variety of keyboards. Plus the hard rubber mat, althogh it will slip on a floor, if you rotate it around and put your foot on it it will not slip. If the pedal itself could be designed to resemble a real piano pedal it would be better.
Quality
I have not experienced any problems with it. I take very good care of my equipment as I travel a lot on the road and I make sure it is never banged around.
Value
Probably a little overpriced.

"Great pedal - doesn't move"

I've been using this model sustain pedal for 15+ years. I love the rubber foot that swings out. This no rarely moves on you. Solid build and well made. I just added another to the family. Next new board I get, I'll likely get another.

"The advantage of the DP 10"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
The advantage of this pedal is the continuous switch on the side. It allows you to graduate the degree of sustain you want, if your keyboard supports that function. I also like the the rubber mat extension that, if you’ve ever chased the pedal around the floor with your foot during a song, you’ll appreciate.

"Does the job"

I use the pedal for sustain on my Roland Juno. The pedal feels fine and works well. It does slide and move a lot as you use it though. I mean a lot. The chord feels alittle weak, but I’ve had no problems.

"Buy a less expensive pedal, this one doesn't live up to Roland's good name."

Overall: 3 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I haven't tried other pedals yet, but just comparing prices, I can't see why this pedal should cost more than other more moderately priced universal damper pedals. The non slip base does not prevent slipping at all. It's made from a hard rubber that doesn't grip the floor very well. I occasionally have to open up the pedal to adjust a little tiny part that slips out of place and causes the pedal to stop functioning - very annoying. The silver pedal part that your foot presses is a litle slim, so it doesn't have the most natural feel if you're used to playing an acoustic piano. On top of that, the pedal is noisy. I would have expected more from Roland, because I just loooooove their pianos!!
Sound
I got one of these with my Roland ep-90, shipped together from the factory. Unfortunately, it squeaks when you depress the pedal, and it clacks when you let go of the pedal if you are not careful about how you slide your foot off.

Quality
It's a fairly well made product, pretty durable materials, but not that well designed.

never has to deal with Roland
