A very good mic. I was pleasantly surprised at the range of lows to highs that came through on my first recording which was (stationary) indoors videotaping of a Salvation Army Brass Band. My second use was outdoors (roaming, camera mounted). The audio was excellent also, the windscreen seems to have great benefits. My only concern might be the fact that the camera input level needed to be set way low. Maybe this is just a flat out better mic than any other shotgun type I've used.
Sound
Great sounding.
Features
Don't actually care for the mount. Handheld was ok, but tripod bumping can be transmitted to the recording.
Ease of Use
As it comes out of box it is ready to go to work.
Quality
May look at doing away with rubber band mount.
Value
Very good for price.
Manufacturer Support
No.
The Wow Factor

Would immediately replace it if it got lost or anything. Beste value for money
Sound
It sounds amazing for its price. It's very forgiving in its placement. It has some noise, but nothing that can't be fixed in Audition.
Features
It's a complete product, including shockmount and wind jammer
Ease of Use
Just put it on the hotshoe, plug it in, and turn it on, that's it.
Quality
Had it for more than a year and works perfectly
Value
Incredible price, especially in Europe. Sounds as good as products 3 or 4 times the price
Manufacturer Support
had one question and got a prompt response

Rode VideoMic Mic Customer Review

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
This is a great product. The only reason I gave it a nine is because in all fairness I haven't tried another and there may be something that works better but my search is over. Especially for the price. Love it. Conducted An interview in a crowded mall with musack and all I heard was the man I was interviewed.
Ease of Use
Plug and record.
The Wow Factor
Well I wouldn't want to sit on it but I guess there may be some use for those who are inclined to. If I had a complaint, size matters and in this case I wish it were smaller.
