The Rane MP25 is the best compact 19 inch rackmount club/mobile mixer on the market today. I bought it to retire my Urei 1620 and Rane MP2016 on my high end mobile system. And as an alternative to my DJM900. It takes up very little rack space in my dj coffin which leaves room for other gear. The sound quality is amazing and the features are limitless. I can play vinyl, cds and dj software all together at the same time. This mixer gives maximum flexibility. Highly Recommended!
Sound
The MP25 is one of the best sounding mixers period. It is in the same league as the Urei 1620, Rane MP2016, Allen & Heath, etc. The sound is warm, clean, clear and very musical with smooth detailed mids and highs plus clean, tight and deep bass. I only use high end audiophile cables (XLO, Oyaide, AudioQuest, etc.) in my system, from the interconnects, usb and ethernet cables, to the speaker and power cables.
Features
The Rane MP25 is full of features you want. 3 band EQ with full cut, gain, led meters, plus a filter knob on each channel. You can assign any input to any or all channels. Master, booth and zone outputs give maximum flexibility. You can use turntables, cdj or any music software via usb. I like the fact that i can add effects from Traktor Pro or any other software to any or all inputs via the usb flex fx. It has an effects loop for connecting anything from signal processors to effects box and is assignable to any channel or master. Plus full dry/wet and level control for the effects. The Flex FX is a great feature, it let's you add effects to any or all channels. The usb and digital output let's you record and archive your mix or music collection. The list of features and possiblities goes on and on.
Ease of Use
It is very straight forward and easy to use. Even the usb is relatively easy to figure out.
Quality
The quality is as good as you can get. The MP25 was built for the most demanding high end clubs or mobile systems.
Value
The MP25 is an awesome value considering all you get and the level of build and sound quality.
