I think it holds it's own very well with more expensive low cost phono preamps

For the price, I can't say it sounds the best. But for the cost it's amazing.
Features
Just a basic phono preamp

Hook it up and you're in business.
Quality
Well made for an inexpensive product
Value
Really good product for the money. And MADE IN THE USA!

Sound
Terrific value for the money, it sounds really great with articulate bass, smooth and liquid mids with strings.
