Railhammer T90 Tel 90 H90/P90 Electric Guitar Pickup

Conjure up beefy twang with this humbucker-sized P90. Designed for any guitar, this pickup creates percussive tone with country-lovin' upper-midrange honk.

I've never been a fan of humbuckers, always seemed muddy to my ears. I usually play a Tele's; I have SSH and HSS Tele models. I also have a Les Paul custom that hardly gets any attention...until now. I replaced Gibson Burstbucker bridge pickup with a Tel90 and I'm loving it. I wanted a humbucker sized P90 in the LP and decided on this one over the Seymour Duncan Phat Cat, based on the audio clips on RailHammer's website. The Tel90 is detailed, articulate and kind of "spanky." It's not quite the twang you'd expect from a Tele, but not quite a soap bar either. It's fair to say it's a cross between the 2. You can get more of one or the other, with the tone knob. This pick up is articulate and hot, the Tele90 sits lower (further away from the strings), to match volume with the burstbucker in the neck and definitely drives the tubes to break up quicker than the burstbucker did...imagine AC/DC chicken pickin'...that's right...I said it. I may even order another one for my SSH Tele.
