I own 3 of these. As a working DJ, I take them out at least once a week for well over a year now. They've never let me down. The set up is quick and easy and the sound is amazing. I'm not sure what the other reviewer was referring to but these do not distort even at high volumes. The low end is now chest thumping but good enough for most all gigs. I get tons of complements on them from my clients and their guest. RCF is also great to work with and very quick should anything ever go wrong. I love these speakers and physically kiss them after every gig.

"Best Portable System"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

I have 2 10" & 1 12" QSC K series which sound excellent but was tired of setting up tripod stands & lugging in a bass cabinet for the lows. After exhausting search of different systems I chose Evox 8 for it's simplicity and power and compactibility. This system does not distort.Clear highs and mids with booming bass.
Sound
This system does not distort.Clear highs and mids with booming bass.Use an eq to trim the highs and tighten up the bass.I am a DJ who also sings using tracks.I switch the pole out and use a longer one to put the highs at a higher angle which throws them out further and bought a better cable to connect to the sub and highs.
Features
I chose this system over the others because more features means more chances to go wrong. No pins to deal with in the connections ,no built in mixer to fail. Just pure power in a compact and portable system
Ease of Use
I use this in conjunction with my 10' QSC until I purchase another Evox 8 and they work well together with the Evox giving me the low end that punches.
Quality
Very durable and reliable. So portable. It came with the soft case I purchased in a bundle.
Value
Rather pricy but worth it compared to Bose.
Manufacturer Support
Not yet but have heard good reports about them.
The Wow Factor
Power and portability. Two of these are all you need even in a room with 400 people. Most places I use one of these and my 10" QSC as a monitor.

"Not A Bose! But, better!"

This system is way gutsier and much warmer sounding then the Bose systems. I had two of the original Bose L1's and they would distort at higher levels. There is no punch to the Bose. This system is a better match for me as i like the sound quality of a more conventional system. Warmer mids, very vocal. It won't give you the 180 but, it does fill a space just fine.and to my ears just better sounding! Not to mention there is a bunch of pieces to carry. One item per system! Great!

"RCF Evox 8 Array Sysytem"

I ordered this to make a decision as to whether I was gonna keep the Bose array system I just purchased or go with this setup. Very easy setup and all. However, that's where the similarities end. Granted, it is louder than the Bose, but definitely not clearer. The sound from the Evox 8 tended to be distorted as I increased the volume plus the low ends aren't as tight as I thought they'd be. It's not a bad system but it won't work for me.

This is our second unit! Originally bought the first one for my solo act then realized these are perfect for alot of band gigs at Country Clubs and Weddings!! Very balanced sound and they tend to accentuate vocals!! We have larger unpowered line array speakers and these small units- stand up pretty well against those!!

"RCF Evox 8 is spectacular!"

We purchased the RCF Evox 8 for my solo act (with backing tracks) about 5 months ago after looking at all the other systems on the market, (Bose, LD, Fender etc.) We quickly realized that even just one of these units could work for a band in some situations. We found the sound to be very clear and vocals were much more defined. (Our bands use line array speakers from a custom builder - non powered) We have found more and more applications for this system so much so- that we are ordering another one so we will have 2 for our Wedding/Corporate/GCC band.
