I think some of these people should spend a little more time with the amp before being so judgmental.... I've been using 2 amps in stereo with a tx g system and am blowin away with the out come ... these amps are class d power amp a bit different than your average transistor amp on the market they are very touch sensitive and respond to many different styles of playing attack ,, they also are very forgiving when it come to getting your sound from venue to venue regardless of the ac power conditions ,, also the amp really holds true to a tone that is dialed in thru out the whole volume range and they don't suffer for low power fatigue like a tube amp does,, half way thru your gig you have lost you clean tone because you tube amp is over heating trying to make up the difference for the crappy low volt you are getting from the wall ... IVe been using mine pretty hard on all kinds of different venues and never once have I had even a slight problem they are very consist and an awesome clean plate form for accepting pedals and effects in front of the amp or in the loop Thanks DAN O

After owning this amp for nearly a year I can say its great. The speakers sell for $95 each so the combo isnt really overpriced. It goes very loud without distorting. The 100 watts here is as loud as any 40 watt tube amp. The two 10 inch speakers are excellent.

The 2nd channel isnt as loud as the clean first channel. This new Gold version has increased distortion on the 2nd channel through the sweep of the "gain" knob". I havent heard the original version but I dont think the high gain settings are effective at all and think it sounds best with gain between 9:00 and 12:00 and master at 12:00. Clean channel sounds like a full 100 watt solid state so the moment you turn the volume knob the amp gets loud a little too fast. So theres 2 settings-- loud and very loud. Speakers are good and amp sounds best with reverb and dwell very low around 8:00 each. I think the two 10 inch speakers is a way way better option than a single 12 inch speaker. More volume more presence more clarity and bite with two 10 inch speakers. Overall I think the amp is grossly overpriced by several hundred dollars but the speakers are very good and once they break in should sound smoother. The size of the cabinet is smaller than I imagined and the two 10 inch speakers fill the entire interior. The amp is a cannon. Good for solo practice theres no tubes to warm up and wear out and replace and its loud enough to cut a drummer and play in a band. Perhaps a good distortion pedal running through the 1st channel might work. 2nd channel can sound similar to 1st channel but 2nd channel with have more grit and bit and bark to cut through mix. The amp is also a bit noisy at the highest volume and gain settings. Gain is unusable above 1 :00 setting. I still think two 10 inch speakers gives the amp more power and life than a single 12 inch speaker especially for live playing. Overall something that can be used to practice in the living room and also with a full band on stage. Its a hot rod solid state amp. EQ sounds best with knobs mostly in the middle without extreme settings. 2nd channel tries to sound like a Bogner and fails. This amp is better than the solid state amps fender makes this amp is better than 100 watt Mustang amp.
