I needed some way to lock my guitar strap on and didn't want to go and remove anything from the guitar. This is just what I was looking for and at the time I didn't even know anyone made anything like this.

"My Favorite Strap"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Nothing fancy about the strap itself; it's fine for my needs. The locking strap ends are fantastic though - I trust them as much as or more than any other locking system, and now there's no need to remove the stock strap buttons from your guitar (which inevitably results in stripped strap button screws etc.) Planet Waves has yet another simple, effective idea here, and I love it! P.S. Sound and Mfr Support ratings are required, but are really n/a. So, 5, why not...

"Best strap to use when you don't have strap locks."

I've been using the Planet Waves locking straps for years now. I use them on every guitar that I don't have strap locks installed on. I had a strap come loose once and my guitar almost hit the ground. I decided then and there that wouldn't happen again and bought my first Planet Waves locking strap. They're easy to adjust and quick to install. And, they're reasonably priced. Highly recommend them!!!

"works"

This strap is something I keep for a backup. It is long enough for people over 6 foot. The locking parts are rigid and it can be difficult to open at a gig in the dark. I would not buy another one, just spend a little more and get some nice metal ones. The only up side for me is that I can switch to random guitar without changing straps in a rush (except my 2 stage basses, they have metal strap locks and straps.)

"nice, but it has a very short lenght."

Overall: 3 out of 5 stars

completely secure, and safe. but the length of the strap is not really sufficient, especially for a tall person like me. why the length is shorter than any other type of planet wave's strap?

"rubs finish off your guitar"

Overall: 1 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I used this on my Gibson SG for a couple of months before I noticed it was rubbing the shiny finish off the guitar, at both mounts. The hard plastic ends rub the finish off. And I complained to the mfg. and they seemed mildly uninterested and did not pay for the damage. Not a good strap..

It works, but it damaged the finish on my Strat due to the hard plastic.
