Just received my PRS Tremonti SE today. On the web site it says it has dot inlays, which would have been ok with me. When I opened the box and saw the bird inlays I was very pleasantly supprised. Looks beautiful and flawless and with a few seconds to tune, sounds great right out of the box. I like the the neck, feels just like my American Strat. It IS NO American Strat but it is right there beside it. The gig bag is definitely the best one I have ever seen! Very thick padding. So, all in all I gotta give this sweet little ax a 10. I love it. For the price everyone should own two of them!! Great job PRS! Thanks for this one!

I love it, sounds great and plays great. Not heavy like my les paul was but not as light as some of the ibanez guitars I've owned. Granted it's the lowest priced prs there is, however, I have no regrets buying this guitar. Absolutely beautiful.

I have been playing this guitar for a little over a year now, and am quite happy with it. It has quite a few nice features, especially considering the price. Versatile, handsome, reliable, and bird inlays. How can you go wrong?
Sound
I am far from a gearhead; I can't tell you what certain magnets and whatnot do to affect the sound of a guitar. I also haven't owned a lot of guitars in the past. However, I do like to play a variety of styles, and whether it's some airy jazzy fingerpicking, garage rock, or more hard rock/light metal-sounding music, I've never been disappointed in this guitar's tonal variety. I have primarily played it through a Peavey 6505+ Combo amp without effects, so that you can get an idea of what I work with.
Features
As I said before, I'm not a hardcore gear expert. What I can tell you is that I haven't really had any problems with the way this guitar was made or with what materials. In the beginning I did find that my fingers would sometimes "catch" on the end of the frets, and I had to get used to the wraparound bridge, but none of those are objectively all-around issues. The only things I might change if I knew how to do so might be the tuners- they feel very "floaty" to me, whereas I prefer "tighter" ones -and the fact that the screw on the outside of the input jack will sometimes become loosened for some odd reason. Once again, though, these are not objective faults. My favorite feature (admittedly, the reason I bought it) has to be that it actually has the bird inlays. They're my favorite kind of inlay, and despite being one of the cheaper models, doesn't look "junky" compared to the more expensive models I've seen.
Ease of Use
I remember being astounded by the smooth feel of playing my guitar when I first received it, and though I prefer more of an ibanez neck, for the kind that it is, I find it to be fine; it doesn't cause drag on my hand as I play it, for example. It stays in tune as well as any other instrument, and the frets aren't so thin that it causes buzz or messes with bends. The only issue I can say is a bit nit-picky; if you use clip-on tuners it can be awkward fitting them on the headstock.
Quality
This is the most expensive guitar I've owned, but from those who have seen it and that I've told about the specs, I've been told it's quite a good guitar for the price. A mahogany body for this price rang is nothing to sneeze at, and I like the individual volume and tone knobs for each pickup, in addition to the simplicity of the 3 way selector. The buttons are (from my perspective) nice and big, and I feel confident that that they will properly hold the strap in whatever the situation, though I haven't done windmills with it, so if that's you're thing you're on your own.
Value
I would definitely say this product is worth the selling price. It has quite a few nice features, hasn't let me down, and looks pretty to boot. (I bought the red one, which has a semi-transluscent finish).
Manufacturer Support
I have not dealt with PRS directly, so I cannot comment on their customer service.
The Wow Factor
For the price, I think it is a very good guitar. It is both a good instrument and not so expensive that I feel like I'm overbuying. I am not a fan of Mark Tremonti and don't know much of him, so I can't evaluate that aspect. Basically, it's a versatile guitar that looks nice, is reliable, and has bird inlays. That is more than enough for me.

This is the most versatile guitar I've owned in 30 plus years of buying selling and trading. It can go from brilliant Cleans to a VERY heavy Duty all around guitar. I've been playing for over 2 decades and owned almost everything and just because it costs $2600 doesn't mean it's a great guitar. This guitar is GREAT for the price (IMO) the best in it's class. You WILL NOT be sorry you purchased this but you Will be surprised at what it can do for you....Just make sure you have a good Tube amp..I love these reviews about how many Les Pauls and Custom fenders someone says they have all played through a 15 watt Solid State...GET REAL!! Your amp has as much to do with your sound as your guitar.....Trat it to a GOOD tube amp and you will really enjoy what it can do!
