Until Technics works out a better DJ table, Pioneer has made the best unit. Drop the price a bit, work in a spinning platter, and we'll have an amazing table.
Sound
The sound? what can I say. It's clean compared to a vinyl turntable (no ground needed, no record wear, no dirty needles) but unfortunately, as with all CD players, it is limited to 44.1kHz and 16 bit. As far as the scratching emulation, it's pretty good. Best on the market, but a DJ will definitely hear the difference between scratching with this unit and with a piece of vinyl. What might be nice is a phono output for those with high quality phono preamps. then again, this is digital and not for analog purists.
Features
I love the 3 cue points... Why not go one step further and have 4 banks of cue points, each bank with A B and C? wouldnt be too hard, especially if you have your memory card on hand. Of course, the only player out there that can beat out the Pioneer for cue points is the Technics SL-DZ1200 (it has 4). Havent messed with the loop functions much, so I couldn't tell you. I would love a spinning platter, but this one has a good feel to it. nicer surface than the previous model, and the adjustable jog is great for getting the right resistance. Backspin on a vinyl record with a concave label facing up and you'll know what its like to have too little resistance.
Ease of Use
What more to say? Features are all right there, and the big circular thing in the middle is the platter. Plus, in vinyl mode, you can slow down or speed up a record by pushing the side of the platter in either direction, it knows when you're adjusting the speed and when you're scratching. again, YOU have to spin the platter, instead of touch-slowing the stobe face or twisting the spindle like one would do on a real turntable. Adjustable pitch, from +-6, 10(for you numark fans), 16 (a la SL1210M5G), and "Wide" 100. I personally would have liked a +-8 instead of the 6, but whatever. No reason to ever use the Wide pitch, but its there if you want to play with it. All in all, its a learning curve of about 10 minutes
Quality
It feels like a toy sometimes. No metal face, the displays are all plastic, and the "FWD" side of the fwd/rev switch is raised plastic -- only the "REV" has an LED behind it. Metal start/pause and cue buttons are a nice touch. The parts are well-fit though. no rattling or unneccesary edges.
Value
Its the best CD deck i have ever used. The majority of the DJ community would agree. So you pay for the quality. I'd be a happy camper if Pioneer dropped the price a bit though.
Manufacturer Support
I'm giving this section a high rating because..... What's better than the best customer support in the world? Not needing it. Everything is lined up for you. Dont toss the manual yet, theres alot more you can do with this than initially seen, but all in all you wont have a problem.
The Wow Factor
new brighter lights... Sexy. It's designed well, and though it lacks a few features that I personally would like, its the number one choice.

"Every brother should own one (Or be given one, if they're as poor as me!)"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Yeah, they're mint. OK!!!!!!!!!
Sound
The mk3 is the industry standard. It sounds as good in a club as it will in the bedroom. If used with the DJM600, it's devastaing in terms of expressive DJ'ing. There are other products out there that are on par, sound quality wise, but nothing comes near in versatility. No hardware anyway.
Features
The hot cues and hot loops are amazing for live remixing, skipping back, missing parts (Like where the beats drop out for tooooo long, this can kill dancefloors!). There's just too much to write about.
Ease of Use
Can be a bit daunting, there are loads of features. I'd master the basics of cueing, beat matching and skipping from CD/Vinyl jog mode before going mad on the features. You'll just end up lost in the madness. Well worth taking the time out though.
Quality
They make me hard. They are strong like bull.
Value
I think they're very aware of the fact that they have the dog bollocks here. The prices are out of reach for a lot of brothers. I strongly encourage looting or revolution. Every brother, black white or other, should have access to food, clothes, and decks. Worldwide!
Manufacturer Support
Not really bothered them.
The Wow Factor
I'm lucky enough to be able to use one at the club. They are sexy though, if you like that sort of man vs machine type sexual scenario.

"Hey DJ!! Buy this deck"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I think if you choose this deck you will not look anywhere else. I also see there is one out that will play video too.....WOW! This deck will make you look smarter than you are. It's a no nonsense deck and would be a wonderful addition to any DJ set up.
Sound
I used two of these with a Pioneer DJM800 mixer....wondreful sound and the mixer has awesome effects. I'll have to rate the mixer next.If you're a hip-hop dj this is the deck you need!
Features
there is too much to talk about...but the thing is wonderful to use once you figure it out.Has a brake adjustment and start up adjustment and even a release adjustment. It has built in loops that can be done on full, 3/4, 1/2 and 1/4 time's. Perfect cue on any loop and shows a red cue point on the display
Ease of Use
It will take practice and a lot of reading and another review said check YOUTUBE. I agree, this will help you a lot
Quality
It's Pioneer.....what else is there to say. The best DJ Cd player out PERIOD! I use Stanton C314's and wish I had the pioneers. These are the best for scratch DJ's. The start and stop is beautiful, as soon as you relase a cut it's spot on no delay like on a vinyl deck this will make you a much better turntablist.
Value
Quite pricy.....this would be a choice for professionals NOT hobbyists.
Manufacturer Support
I didn't have to conatct them, but I have heard great things about their support
The Wow Factor
Its nice, plus there are web sites that will customize it for you so you don't have to have it black.
