"Very nice amp for price"

Very nice, quality prouduct, great sound for the price. I would recommend it to anyone.
Sound
The sound of the Blazer is very versitile. It can be light and soft, or it can have a deep sound. The distortion on the amp is done well, I play it with my American Strat and I get a very nice punkish/rockish sound. Very nice
Features
It's a quality product, sturdy as a rock. Reverb is more ofa gimmick than anything. Overall very adequate.
Quality
Never had any trouble with it for the past 3 years, always is running strong. It takes my beating when I'm out and about...but it has not failed me yet.
Value
Great sound for the dirt cheap price.
Manufacturer Support
Never had a problem, so I don't need support
The Wow Factor
I have it, my want has been taken care of.

"good amp is it the adjustments or me"

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
the sound quality is not as clean as ive heard in other amps especualy my fender amp .i do like the two lead knobs POST and PRE ive noticed that the only way to get good reverb is to set the pre all the way down and the post al the way up in lead mode at that point you use post for volume control destortion is achieve my reversing what i just said and im kinda on the fence as to how much i like the destortion I think it might not be as defined as i like maybe sorta washed out not sure ive used a fender strat and a washburn with humbuckers same result.the ckean channel could be cleaner

"One Good Little Practice Amp"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I'll probably keep it as long as it works. I am just practicing and keeping a learning curve going. When and if I decide to move up to something else is on the horizon right now.
Sound
As a practice amp I have found that this amp does fairly well. A little patience helps in dialing in a tone or sound that you want. It is not perfect, but suitable for practice without fear of killing your ears.
Features
I like the options presented for it's size. You have the choice of clean or lead with distortion and you can switch between vintage or modern modes. The reverb section does seem a little weak, but for a 15W amp it is not that big of a deal to me.
Ease of Use
Everything is very easy to use. The manual was very simple and came in multilingual text and illustration. My kids and cats are enjoying it, at least they don't run and hide when I am playing.
Quality
Fit and finish is fine for this level of amp. It is made in China to Peavey specs. It looks nice and compact and that is all I needed for this item anyway.
Value
It is a good deal for a practice amp.
Manufacturer Support
N/A just got it last week. Aug 2007
The Wow Factor
If I was looking to wow someone, I would have gone for something bigger, louder, costlier, etc. It just suits me for what i am using it for.

"You can do better."

Overall: 1 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

Overall it's one of the worst amps I've heard or played through. My guitars are currently a 1965 Fender Mustang, a Japanese Fender Jazzmaster, and a modified Schecter. I also have an Alvarez solid wood a/e and a Martin D35 for what it's worth. I got the amp when I first started playing electric about 6 years ago. I never could coax any particularly useable tone from it so I don't really use it and there's no resale value to make it worth selling. I wouln't recommend it for a beginner--you want to learn on better sounding gear, believe me! I'd be a better player now if I'd started with better gear.
Sound
Poor tone overall, anemic, cardboardy, lifeless, no string definition, reverb is useless, headphone out sounds so bad it's useless, EQs are so-so, the more gain you dial in, the buzzier and more annoying it gets. Modern vintage switch would be a nice touch but it doesn't make this amp sound any better. Good tube effects ahead of it don't help it much. Some gear is "so bad it's cool" but this amp isn't even a good special effect. I'm not expecting anything special out of a $100 practice amp but even at the price, you can do better.
Features
The features list is fine, but it's all sort of pointless since none of the features help you get any useable sound. No effects loop, no footswitch, but at the price those *would* be going above and beyond.
Ease of Use
Well, the switch and knob layout makes sense, nothing complicated, really, but the ergonomics are poor--when I go to switch channels, for example, I always bump one of the knobs next to the channel switch and since the switches are light cheap plastic on cheap pots, they will easily fly out of where you set them. I do, however, appreciate that the controls are mounted on the front of the amp where you can get to them fairly easily even if the amp is tilted back.
Quality
It's light and easy to carry, but mine has been unreliable. Sometimes it won't work at all for several months at a time, then will mysteriously work fine. It sometimes hums or buzzes and when I power it on it will often thump loudly--sometimes startlingly, though fortunately no speaker damage yet. All plastics look and feel cheap. The power cord is heavy duty and grounded.
Value
There are better inexpensive practice amps out there--even a few tube powered ones at or under the price that will naturally beat the 158 quite handily.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't dealt with them.
The Wow Factor
Nothing special to look at and not kind on the ears either.
