as allways Peavey is awesome. After blowing a Mccauley 18 speaker and replacing it...yet another gives out ..I am a fan of Mccauley speakers however I decided to try the Peavey BW 1801 for replacement this time ...wow ...what a difference ! No problems as of yet ...as allways Peavey puts out great products!

This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
this speaker is tough kevlar cone not paper wil last forever. also you can replace just the cone if you blow it which saves on buying whole new speaker.
Sound
This speaker is alot better than average, not near the best but hands down better than anything else in this price range. It's a very good afordable option for someone just starting out,but good enough for a professional on a budjet.
Features
good features best for price.
Quality
while there are some better there are alot worse speakers out there.
Value
About the best bang for the buck out there, although for just a little more money you can get the peavey low rider which is just a little better.
Manufacturer Support
never dealt with them. but ive only heard good things

"1801 peavey trust it it won't let you down."

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars

I would probably use it until the end if works it will be used. It has lasted a few years already. now serve as backup speakers. only beacuse the performances have become bigger and need more speakers to fill bigger venues.
Sound
pretty good quality sound. pushed 375 watts of low and took it and still kicking after more than a year of usage. not the best quality out there but you are not paying more than you are getting want to get more pay double if not work with this 1801 and get very decent sound quality if little money. peavey is a good reliable brand.
Features
in conbination with 12" for mids and this 18s for lows this is about the best combo and works pretty good.
Quality
great quality for an 18 with a very low price.
Manufacturer Support
Always depended on peavey for quality even the ampifiers. new peavey every time I can afford peavey I purchase.
