Drums sound great, the included hardware is sturdy and solid (for my style). The included throne has a little wobble due to the height adjustment mechanism, but that is the only 'nit'. The kit arrived on time, and took about an hour to set up and tune (it is my first acoustic kit so there is also a learning curve in that hour). The cymbals arrived with a nasty ding from the carrier, but ZZounds worked quickly and we are happy with their solution. Overall, I am very impressed with the completeness of the kit and the quality of the pieces. It is a step up from my electronic kit (great to learn on) and will allow me to work on drum technique. FYI; I wear 30db hearing protection while drumming and have no difficulty in hearing the subtleties from the kit.
