"no way!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
it doesnt get a ten because its not perfect. nothing is...but it sure as hell gets close to it. its better to dish out 300 bucks on this guitar than fork over 1 or 2 grand on another guitar that sounds a bit better. the only other guitar that i would buy over this one that is price worthy is the graphite/carbon-fiber guitar by Rainsong. but thats 3000 bucks so screw it lol
Sound
i love the sound of this guitar. its a distinct sound that is kind of glossy at the high notes, then its warm when played by the head of the guitar. factory fitted srings make it sound okay...i was somewhat dissapointed at first but when i gave it some elixers(preferably medium gauge) i was stunned at the improvement. as for when its plugged in...its funny because you can have shoe-laces on this guitar and it will sound amazing either way on an amp. this is where it shines.
Features
i love the simplicity of the electronics but what throws be off is the tuner built-in. it works properly but its kind of hard getting your sound from being flat or sharp. maybe a little practice will solve the problem. other than that, vol. control, mid equalizer, treble and bass adjustment are the main features on this guitar. It might not sound like a lot but honestly thats all you need.
Ease of Use
its nice as far as the neck size, and the cut-away makes it easier to locate the frets far down the neck. The strings are a bit higher above the fret-board and especially when your playing in standard its a little bit more difficult to bar, etc. i tune it in drop d so over-all its at ease. and you really cant adjust the neck either =/ i guess its that well rounded guitar ya know? other than a few milli-meters away from the fret-board its beautifully made.
Quality
it looks awesome. depending on your taste you will find different colors attractive but i have it in a natural color. Its almost like a vanilla color. the guitar honestly people is built like a tank. i've taken it almost everywhere from camping to the desert, in the forest, on the back of a vehicle for 3 days, heat and cold, etc. and it still plays just as well as it did first day i purchased it. This i believe is that ovation quality mark. You can take take this baby to war and i think you'll be missing a few parts rather than the guitar.
Value
this guitar i bought for 300 dollars and i was amazed at the quality for the price.
Manufacturer Support
i haven't had the means to call them. Backed by a 2 year warranty it seems nice.
The Wow Factor
i think it looks sexy.

I expect to have this guitar for a long time. I will buy more electric guitars but this one meets my acoustic needs nicely. If I got a backup for it I would probably get another Ovation (maybe with a natural top instead of the black this one has).
Sound
I wasn't sure what I was gonna get with the bowl design but it turned out to have a very full sound acoustically and really showed it's worth once plugged in.
Features
There were no accessories. No case. Did have a battery. Having a tuner incorporated into the electronics is a plus but all acoustic/electrics have that feature. It has what it needs feature wise. Just gotta buy an Ovation case (no others will fit right).
Ease of Use
This guitar is very "playable". Great action and smooth comfortable neck. The bowl on the guitar is very slippery but they put a rough area right where you need it when seated. Thought that was very thoughtful - it stays put.
Quality
The quality appears top notch. We'll see after a few more months of use how well it can hold up to my abuse.
Value
This one makes your money feel really well spent.
Manufacturer Support
can't say - haven't needed any support yet.
The Wow Factor
Ovations are sexy guitars. Nothing more need be said.

I wanted to just buy a camp-fire guitar, not to expensive, and sounds ok. Well I tried Epiphone,Takamine, and Taylor in the $350 - 1600 range. I must say that the celebrity cc 24 sells for about $400 with out case, sounds great , has a good projection, slim neck ( all most like playing an electric). It is what it is and just what I needed. Can't beat it for the price. Haven't tried it with an amp yet, but with the right amp it must sound good. Better use with a strap, the round back makes it slide off your lap when sitting.

Musical Background:

25 years, I'm a pro Bassist, Jam at home and friends with the acoustic.

I purchased this guitar to use as a family reunion type amplified guitar without worrying about my expensive acoustic electric in such a setting. First thing I noticed was that it sounds and plays better amplified than the other guitar which cost five times what I paid for the Celebrity. I purchased this guitar in April 2019. It is the latest version of the Celebrity made in China, and is flawless, with a fit and finish that rivals any similar expensive guitar. I'm very impressed. It is a keeper. The expensive one is already for sale. If there is any downside to this guitar it is its unplugged Ovation sound. Putting some medium gauge phosphor bronze strings on it improved the sound a lot but it is still an Ovation and I've never played one that sounded good unplugged. I love this guitar played through my Fender Acoustisonic 90 amp!

Sound
This Ovation may grow to become amoung your favorites. With practice, sweeping arpeggios and scorching leads solos will become possible. This be one sweet sounding guitar accostically shaped by the nature of the manufacturing process. Its vocal signature is pure, and with the rosewood neck, lowered fret action and cut away neck for the top end this is one fast guitar. Not to gig with but for camping. And it will last a lifetime.
