This was my first ever Orange purchase and have been very well pleased with it. The sound is very much what an Orange should sound like even from this practice amp. I have an older SWR head pushing a 4x10 cabinet and prefer the Orange sound over it. Wasnt aware that this particular series was made in China until I got it, but after hearing it, I don't think this would have been a deal breaker. The built in tuner is rather handy as well, but the drawback is you have to be standing right over it to see. Overall, I really like this practice amp and would recommend it to anyone. The transaction from zZounds was hassle free as usual.

Based on the Orange reputation, I purchased this bass amp. When I got it, I was very impressed by the looks and construction; however, when I plugged in my Carvin 5 string and my Fender JP-90, I was disappointed. The sound was more like that of a guitar and there was no sense of bass bottom end at all. We worked with the controls for a couple of days; but, never saw any improvement. Got the same results with a Fender P Bass. I returned it and purchased the Fender Bronco 40 and was pleased, right out of the box.

Musical Background:

Learning to play for about six years. Only recently started playing the bass; but, have a great collection of about 20 guitars.

I love the looks, the construction is durable. Sound is ok. It's pretty loud for a practice amp, and it can hook up to another speaker, if you need more sound. Decent amp for the price.
