I have had several midi dj control mixers and this one by far is the best unit i have ever worked with and will continue to use this unit until numark upgrades it or put out a new one.

Numark Total Control Customer Review

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I think after a while i will start actualy using a real interface with a mixer.
Sound
Just a Controler
Features
It is greatly designed for Numark Cue, any features that are on cue you can control. Theres only a few things you still need to control from your computer. The only thing that i wish is that it would have inputs and outputs like the Hercules mk2 that is actually like a mixer.
Ease of Use
Real easy to use, all controls work real great with numark cue
Quality
It controls well, all the controls and knobs are pretty acurate, but it feels kinda like cheap plastic that will break with a simple drop.
Value
yes..
Manufacturer Support
I have a problem with it, after about 20 min of use it makes a weird noise everytime i do anything like adjust pitch, volume ect. Im working on getting a replacement but dont know if its mine or all that have the problem.
The Wow Factor
It is probly the best looking controller there is with all the functinos that it comes with.

"Great product! Please look into it if you can't afford the real stuff (i.e. CD-players or vinyl)"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

I recommend it quite a bit. I was afraid at first that it wouldn't live up to my expectations, but I can safely say that it has exceeded them with it's great feel on the jog-wheels, weightiness, and competency as a controller. Just don't bother installing Traktor LE, go with CUE or Virtual DJ instead (or the full Traktor if you have it). CUE LE does almost everything CUE (full) can do, and it's really not a bad program at all. Though I haven't tried this with Deckadance, this might work well for it.
Sound
N/A - This is a controller only.
Features
The controller performs many mixer functions through the CUE LE software or other software you may wish to hook it up with. You can browse tracks, scratch, pitch shift, change gain levels, kill low/med/hi freqs, use FX, etc. all from the controller. I couldn't really ask for much more from a device in this price range. Some fancier controllers do some really crazy stuff but you pay for what you get for, and the TC is worth what you pay.
Ease of Use
I found it quite easy to use. Only complaint is that sometimes CUE is a bit fussy about finding the USB device. That's strictly a thing with the CUE software though, and you can use other software.
Quality
It feels great, the rubber jog wheels feel solid and spin really well. They don't feel cheap. The device casing is plastic but it has a heavy feel to it. Would be better as metal but might scratch more. I think most people will see it as a quality device.
Value
I think it was worth what I paid. I'll be using this until I get real decks.
Manufacturer Support
I couldn't find out much info on Numark's website, though there are support forums that seem to respond to inquiries regularly.
The Wow Factor
I thought it was real sexy, that was why I wanted it! It looks great and feels like a pro product to be using at a gig, in my opinion.

"Great tool to start your DJ career with."

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars

I hope to learn more about DJing, and when I do I feel that I will outgrow what this controller has to offer. I don't anticipate that taking place for a good year or so. When I do replace it, I'm hoping that Numark will offer a controller more suited to the needs of a professional DJ, as I consider the Total Control to be more a tool for beginner DJ's.
Sound
Being a midi controller, it doesn't produce sounds by itself. I'm rating it an 8 because on occasion, there is some very soft "cracking" that can be heard when adjusting volume, EQ Levels, etc.
Features
This is a tough call because the Total Control fall short in some features but compensates nicely with others: Bad: No on board sound output capabilities (like comparable controllers from Hercules or Behringer). This means you will need a peripheral to use monitoring headphones. There are a handful of satisfactory USB sound cards out there, but such an item is not included. Good: Numarks CUE LE software is extremely intuitive, with a learning curve that makes the basics of DJing accessible to almost anyone. Also comes with Traktor LE, which I found a little cumbersome. Something for DJ's switching from analog to digital.
Ease of Use
Very straightforward install. As previously stated, you can learn the basics of CUE LE in a very short period of time.
Quality
Fit and Finish are great, though I'd prefer a controller with at least a partially metal enclosure. The body of the Total Control is plastic, but does feel solid and well constructed.
Value
There are cheaper controllers out there, and though this lacks some necessary peripherals, it makes up for it in usability and by being bundled w/ CUE and Traktor's LE versions.
Manufacturer Support
I have called customer support. The operator was friendly although he didn't have the answer I needed, but directed me to who did. That office however was closed at the time. ( I figured out the issue myself w/o needing to call them a second time )
The Wow Factor
The product admittedly looks a bit toy-like, being made out of plastic. In terms of professional-cred, controllers like the Vestax VCI-100 and the Behringer BCD2000 certainly look the part. That being said, it's not quite as rudimentary as comparable Hercules controllers and with a sufficient number of knobs and faders, you should be able to gain some respect.

"best for beginners. for intermediate i would suggest it if you have virtual dj or cue but otherwise i would go with something mo"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
the numark total control will last you about 3 years until you need a new dj set and by then you'll be a professional so you'll be getting the $2000 dj sets.
Sound
whenever the sound gets 3/4 up the volume gets fuzzy
Features
i wish it came with the IO but that's only $100 more.
Ease of Use
The easiest and simplest for anyone out there.
Quality
I feel like it's a piece of plastic i can break easily but other than that The skin is good and all the knobs, dials etc. works well.
Value
not the most high tech but it gets by.
Manufacturer Support
i have not dealt with Numark but I've checked out the website and it looks like a good and official website.
The Wow Factor
it's compact. you can carry it around in one hand. it's so small they don't make a case for it...it's very attractive.

"Great value."

All in all, this is a great upgrade from the Behringer BCD2000. Next step from here is to the Allen and Heath...
Sound
Doesn't click loud I guess. Haha.
Features
The surface lights don't seem to work or have any current patch to the best of my knowledge that works with Traktor. I have a USB LED light anyways.
Ease of Use
Very easy to use and set up. Integrates with Traktor very easily. All controls can be quickly assigned.
Quality
Sturdy. Good weight to it. The plastic skin can get to be annoying if you don't find a way to adhere it to the bare surface of the controller. I would also like to see a notch in the center of the tempo fader so you know when it's back at zero. The crossfader could have a little more resistance to it. Besides that, all is excellent.
Value
This is stupidly great value for the money. It's the most comprehensive surface with the most amount of controls you are going to find for the money, hands down.

Numark Total Control Customer Review

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
The unit doesn't have a sound card, its just midi controller. To get a better sound quality rather than from the computer, its a good idea to get a separate sound card box. Another sound source give you the opportunity to prelisten to your music before mixing through the headphones.
Features
The very basic features of a mixer + sample and effect buttons.
Ease of Use
Straight forward unit. Perfect for beginners to get an idea about DJing, as well as suitable for house gigs.
Quality
Very light and solid box.

"An overall disappointed person :[ ."

Overall: 2 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Okay you guys will probibly use this thing for about 2 months. Get bored and need something more responsive. IF YOU REALLY WANT TO TAKE A TRY AT DJING, AND YOU DONT WANT TO USE CD OR VINYL USE THE VCI-100 or a Hercules board or an A&H. Hell you have choices.
Sound
Well obviiously this is not the best solution on the market. If you want real quality then go for a vci-100 thats if you want to drop the 400. But the numark totalcontrol is not THAT bad. I mean yes it is bad in my opinion and I have my reasons. For one the slight lag with the fades and all the knobs and bars. I really dislike that. For two the jog wheel sometimes acts like it is on crack cocaine and skills all over the place. Not fun when you are doing the most intence mix of your exsistance and the tool enableing you to play with these audio files says "NO THANKS BRO" and sends your trak back a fiew steps. FINALLY the bugs, oh my god the bugs. I cant use virtual dj at all anymore. Whenever I do anything it makes a wierd noise. Traktor 3 barly wants to accept that this thing has jogwheels. and getting it to work overall was one of the most frustrateing things ive done in a long time. Overall im going to have to hand it a 6/10 Better then avrage, But still quite horrible when you try to get better. Fun for Djs that dont want to commit though.
Features
Really could have come with the ac. My laptop is to small to power this via usb so I need the ac adapter.
Ease of Use
Hopfully it works for you guys first try.
Quality
Durable as hell, Carved out of stone, Plastic but hey it works.
Value
You get what you pay for.
Manufacturer Support
Its numark. I mean come on.
