A complete DJ system that sounds great, looks great, easy to use with plenty of features at an affordable price compared to most DJ system... Great build quality and overall... An amazing product... You should stop reading this and put one in your cart now if you are serious about DJing...
Sound
This system sounds amazing... I'm an Audiophile so I pay attention to detail when it comes to sound... No clicks, buzzing or other types of background noise... Just clean, crisp sound with enough bass... This product can definitely deliver an exceptional quality sound overall specially with hard thumping music like hip hop or some dubstep where bass is used a lot in the mix...
Features
It pretty much has it all... Not only is it a MIDI controller for Serato DJ Intro and other DJ software out there... But you can also use CD/MP3, Flash Drive, External HDD, 4th Gen Ipods, Iphones, and Ipad... You can even use the Mixer as a stand alone analog mixer... Plug in two turntables and you're good to go... It's nice having the mic input up front with some EQs as well as an independent mic input on the mixer itself just in case you need a second one... It's really features galore...
Ease of Use
Everything was easy... From using it with Serato DJ Intro to the Flash Drives and so on... Everything is plug and play... Hooked it up to my laptop and the drivers installed automatically both in Windows 7 and Mac OS X... Serato recognized the gear immediately and everything was completely mapped out already including the FX... If you can work a cell phone or a computer... You can work this thing...
Quality
This is probably the only negative thing I will say about this product... The knobs do wobble just a very tiny bit but nothing bad to where it can affect your performance... The whole thing is made out of hard plastic... But overall, it's still a quality build... You can tell it's well made regardless of those negative things I mentioned... Buttons feels right... The platter is nice and weighted... Smooth and responsive... The crossfader is a little weighted also but smooth and can definitely be used for scratching... Also it is replaceable... Overall, great build quality...
Value
This thing can easily be worth more... You get so much for what you pay for... It's so versatile yet it's affordable if you are serious about DJing...
Manufacturer Support
I've owned a variety of Numark products and let's just say I never had to use this aspect of it... :)
The Wow Factor
This thing is sexy... Specially when the lights are dimmed down... The overall look of it is gorgeous... But it's amount of options you have that Wowed me...

"My First Controller"

I love my MDQ when it's working properly. I had issues using Algorithm's Djay although it works great with the ipad. Serato works good not great. Flash drives are the best as you don't need software. CD decks are great. Metal casing would be better.
Sound
Sound is excellent. Full control over input master volume. Has volume matching also. Good equalizer.
Features
Good features. Control over effects could be better.
Ease of Use
A lil confusing on set-up. Different combinations depending on your output source. Should be more intuitive or consistent.Have to carry the manual to use multi output sources.
Quality
MDQ not as reliable as I'd like, but I attribute the problems I've had more with software than hardware. Knobs feel good, rubberized. Sliders are plastic, so so. Housing should incorporate metal to give more of a pro feel.
Value
It's a good value.
Manufacturer Support
Algorithm wanted me to record a video my issue in real time so they could diagnose. That's a bit of a hassle. Numark had me on hold for over 30 mins. After calling those two I passed on calling Serato to assist with output issues.
The Wow Factor
Platter only give the spinning illusion in the demo, not while playing mp 3's which I thought strange. Maybe there is a setting. But the manual isn't very detail oriented.

Well, after I've been mixing with all kinds of products for the past 30 plus years I was turned onto a new controller that had the features I was looking for. Let me tell you, I was VERY surprised on what the Numark Quad Mixdeck delivers! Everything that I was looking for in a controller and THEN some is a part of this incredible, strong, precise, well built machine of a mixer. I researched all kinds and brands and was always brought back to this one. From the separate clean four channels to the scratching/searching/efx platters, I was so impressed especially by the precision that this device offers. 1st time I used it live was in front of a packed house on stage with hundreds of people relying and reacting to my every mix and sampling. I could do so much with this live it was amazing! AND I used this unit with NO laptop nor iPad of any kind! I could add one sure, but I used the built-in screens and just had one thumbdrive that I plugged into this outrageous controller and both sides were cleanly, precisely playing the music I chose. I was so impressed all night long I didn't want to stop playing. But, the 5 hours was enough, lol. But seriously, this unit packs a punch for ALL of the features that it offers and its a GREAT addition to my arsenal of equipment for mixing at clubs. Highly impressed and totally recommend!

I purchased the warehouse return and I was really surprised at how nice it was. I expected it to have some scratches or a ding or even a bunch of smudge marks. Nothing! It was as if it came right out of the manufacture's packaging. Very happy with my purchase. Great deal and awesome product.

"numark mixdeck quad"

Overall: 1.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Out of 10 stars I give it a 4 because: 1. Information of the product uses are not available, you will have to go to google or youtube. 2. The flashdrive has a max usage of 2gb. This was not known until after the purchase, the max should have been at least 32gb and higher. 3. The software stinks, you have a better chance going with a different product but you have to pirchase like virtual dj. 4. The midi mixer will not work with any virtual dj software.if you cant scratch or interact with computer.laptop or ipad. 5. Most of the MP3s are not abke to play..thier is a max number of songs and in my case it doesnt read if i have more than 60 songs.6. It should had come with pitch sync.or beat sync. 7.hot cue points are not easy to use..and confusing 8.thier is no manual or dvd tutorial..do your homework first..the numark site doesnt tell you how the djs use tricks etc. 9. The unit gets hot quick, thier is no built in fan, it starts to stutter or misbehave after 3 hours of play time. And 10. Effects are weak, for ex. The flanger is low..they could had made it stronger and add kill switches for bass treble and middle. Other wise to use for 1st time djs..this plays alot of different sources and i only wish they had better manuals.
