Once again On-Stage Stands shines with another product. This workstation is ROCK solid. I've seen weightlifting benches that don't come close to the durability that this workstation has. It ships in 3 separate boxes which are packed quite well and not hard to carry individually. I know that as a male, instructions are usually not important. Not in this case. Read them a few times before attempting to put this product together. Although the instructions are a bit vague in a few spots they are still very useful. Be sure to have parts A, B and C all facing the right way before you tighten down the first 4 bolts or you will have to take it all apart again. It's a good idea to keep one of the shipping boxes with the image of the finished product in front of you to make assembly a bit easier.
Sound
Not really a sound product but I do like the height adjustment for the monitor stands to get my powered JBL 8" monitors exactly where I want them for that sweet spot.
Features
Fully adjustable monitor stands are pretty awesome. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they even packed a bag of rack screws and a nice quality metric wrench as well.
Ease of Use
Fairly easy to assemble and super easy to adjust and get things exactly where you want them once it's all together.
Quality
Fantastic quality. I could probably double this item as a piece of workout equipment for doing 'dips' on.
Value
I think for the money it's a great product. When it comes to music equipment you most definitely get what you pay for. This was worth every penny for me. I will be able sit on a stool and record now rather than stand the entire time. I am sure my back and feet will thank me for that.
Manufacturer Support
I've never had a problem with On-Stage Stands so I've never had to deal with Manufacturer Support.
The Wow Factor
Sleek looking piece of gear. The rack below is very nice feature as well as the CPU stand. The biggest WOW for me was how quickly Zzounds had this thing shipped to my door. It arrived in only two days!!! I think my wife is becoming jealous of my love for Zzounds. :-)

"On-Stage WS8700 Total Pro Workstation: For the Cost Conscious, Space Efficient and Quality Value Musician/Engineer!"

Again, I expect 20 years of solid service from this unit. I could not be happier with this purchase.
Sound
It is not really a "Sound" item but a Workstation I am using for Computer and Recording applications. It allows me to switch seamlessly from my Engineering Vocation to my Musical Avocation. I am using CAD Platforms for the Engineering aspect and various Rack Mounted equipment and controllers for the Musical functions.
Features
The Workstation itself is very solid! It is constructed of steel square tubing and Plastic Cranks. All Screws and washers are Metal as well. All of the Gear is very secure. It has a Six-Unit Rack for Modules and all parts are laid out very well. There are Four swinging, height-adjustable arms for Audio or Video Monitors and these are very solid also. The sliding Computer Keyboard tray is very well built and not cheesy like some "Kit Workstations" I have seen. It is entirely made of metal and solid wood and not any particle board. It was also pre-assembled. A couple of things that would be useful that are not offered are a Microphone Boom and an option for a countertop. If you had a countertop, you could have a Digital Mixer and additional Midi Controller Device right in front of you for convenience. You only need one Keyboard Controller and that is handled. Also an option for an L-Desk or Corner Desk with additional Rack Spaces underneath would be a welcome accessory for this Workstation.
Ease of Use
Again, this is not a "Sound" item. I assembled the unit in less than 2 hours with the help of my Son.
Quality
Very solid in assembly and materials. I cannot see taking this on the road as once it is together, that is it! I do not see any poor aspects of quality for this unit. I do not expect that this is a short term item. I can see this unit lasting for at least 20 years.
Value
Compared to other Workstations in its category, this is the best value on the market, bar none!
Manufacturer Support
I have purchased various stands, cases and racks from this company over my 30 plus year musical career and have never had problems with any of the gear. Sure, they wear out like anything else but are sturdy and great values.
The Wow Factor
Aesthetically and Mechanically I am very pleased with this Item. It fits well in the environment that I use it.

"A robust desk"

I chose this to host a big pile of equipment including a slab DP, a few rack items that do not have to be too convenient to reach (connector box for mixer, Crown amp, power distribution), monitors, and some additional control surfaces. It is certainly strong enough for all that, and looks like it will outlive me. Here are a few notes that may help others with a purchase decision or simplify usage... The assembly manual is sparse on detail, and you may find yourself Googling for photos of the completed unit (there aren't many). But there aren't too many ways to mess up, and component fit is good. Well, one small caveat on that... the rear legs (F) may seem loose on initial assembly, but all you need to do is crank down hard on the clamping knobs. This may not be obvious at first, but the rectangular tubing of (D) will deform enough to hold it well. I wrote the company about this before (duh) figuring it out, and their reply was timely and friendly but generic (advising me about warranty support). Of course, nothing at all was wrong with the product; it was just pilot error and is now very solid. For a seated application with piano keyboard, the odds are that you won't be able to use the pull-out computer keyboard drawer... there is just no room for that and a pair of human legs. This is a shame, as it is well-made and would be convenient... but it is deeper than it needs to be in the vertical dimension and raising the piano would put the keybed too high above the ground. For a standing application, I think it would work well. I had trouble with the vertical friction-clamped monitor shelves holding their position under heavy loads, and finally used the rear pair with a wood shelf to hold music books. Another shelf loosely placed below that (resting on their swing arms) makes a great place for a Mac Mini and other hardware (like bluetooth receiver) that doesn't require frequent hands-on access. In my own application, I have no need for the upper keyboard tier, but instead tilted it down at a sharp angle and used it to support yet another shelf board. This supports a sheet-music desk, Edirol mixer panel, iPad on RAM mount, and boom microphone... making a very nice integrated console. Finally, I am making good use of the little rackspace below, but did not need the "tower" shelf... this just lifts off and provides foot clearance for looper and other auxiliary pedals. I added two 17-inch strips of black split-foam pipe insulation to the legs at the bottom of the Z-stand, since they are otherwise nasty foot-bangers if you aren't wearing shoes. This is a good solid structure with lots of places to attach things, though I think it would be a bit much for a touring application. I chose this over some of the prettier home-studio workstations since it allows better access all around and can be fine-tuned with multiple adjustment points. As they say on Amazon, would buy again.
