I did the payment thing on this amp. Best decision of my life. This amp is loud enough for mid size gigs or just practicing at the house. The effects that come on this amp are great although I prefer a pedal with any amp so I have the presets with the push of a button. The tube effect or damping effect is pretty good. Would I buy this amp again? Yes! I was thinking of getting a Line 6 or Peavey amp. Get this amp you will love it

The amp has it's goods and bads, however the goods outweigh the bads. If you're a novice player looking for something with more than the basics and something less than "insane", this is an ideal amp. The weight is good and makes it easily portable, however it doesn't get that full sound on the reverb that you get from more heavily constructed cabs. The highs are brilliant and clean, where the lows are good, but could be better with tighter reflex on the speaker matrix. I run an RP500 or Weeping Demon through this with my RG1570's and I can't complain. Bottom line, if you've graduated from a desk top 15w amp but aren't ready to hit the big stage just yet, this is an amp that will grow with you and help take you to further levels.

"A poor man's Roland Jazz Chorus with 3 distortion channels."

Sound
The carbon fiber cabinet is strong and light weight but does not sound nearly as full as a wood cabinet. The speakers are also not that good. They lack bass response. Chords sound rich at low volumes. The amp has punch at high volume levels. The louder the volume the less gain I like to use. I disconnected the internal speakers and run this out at 4 ohms into my Bogner cab at 8 ohms with the two Celestion speakers and it sounds better.
Features
There are 4 channels and a damping switch giving a total of 8 basic sounds. The clean channel sounds best with the gain turned up all the way and the master volume up halfway. The damping switch offers a vintage boosted mids when off or a flat or scooped mids sound when swithced on, I prefer using the damping off and boosting the bass knob to about 3/4 of the way up. The digital effects chorus sound best when the amp is clean, the phaser is OK but the flanger is too bright. The octave effect is great for running scales and riffs. I use the plate reverb setting instead of the spring reverb and I set the tape delay for a very short delay using either the crunch or OD 1 channels.
