This is a great amp. if your looking for something solid under $700 this is the way to go. Some complain that it's not an all tube amp but I think it still responds to your playing very nicely. I'd take this over The all tube Peavey classic 50 in a heartbeat.
Sound
This thing sounds awesome. The two overdrive channels can sound smooth or raunchy it's up to you. I like blues and metal and this amp covers more than enough ground for both musical styles. you really won't need pedals with this amp because this is what most pedals TRY to sound like. The DFX are very nice for being amp FX. Their not the greatest but they suffice.
Features
The only thing this was missing was an acoustic simulator channel which is on the AVT275 so I guess I shouldn't really complain. the separate EQ's for clean and overdrive channel was nice but it would have been better if they had a separate EQ for each o/d channel. I just set the EQ where I want it and scoop one of the channels. I play a friend's Peavey classic 50 and even being a hybrid this outguns the Peavey. I think using a tube for just the preamp was genius.
Quality
i haven't really abused this amp yet but it looks pretty solid. This is my first marshall but from what hear, all Marshalls are pretty rugged. I actually got this 'B' stock but I checked it over and you couldn't tell.
Value
This was a 'B' stock but it was practically new. Even if I'd bought it for the regular price I would have been happy.

"IT DIED AFTER ONLY 1 YEAR!! STAY AWAY!!"

Overall: 0.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I would not be satisfied unless Marshall replaced it free of cost
Sound
Lifeless, but a moot point since the amp died anyhow after 1 year
Features
Good features, still a moot point because the amp died after 1 year
Quality
It could not withstand one year of local shows, I recommend that noone buy a crappy PCB new Marshall if its going to leave the bedroom
Value
$700 for 1 year? Jeez, I can't afford to buy a new $700 amp each year...
Manufacturer Support
no dealings, but I bet they wouldn't replace or fix it if I asked....
