"Martin C640 Thermoplastic Hard Case - Perfect Body Armor for your dreadnought"

My 2020 Martin D18 came with a black Martin C640 thermoplastic hard case with a plush dark green interior. The case though not the older traditional multi-ply high quality hard case is a very good-looking lightweight case that looks like it would survive and keep your valuable Martin or other dreadnought acoustic protected if the case was dropped from an airplane. The large embossed Martin name on the top gives the case an impressive, modern look. It looks impregnable. Go ahead and throw it around and take a hammer to it. Your guitar couldn't find a better fortress around it. Isn't that what a hard case is supposed to do? There are vintage guitar snobs who thumb their noses at this relatively new innovation of the Martin Guitar Co. I say bravo, Martin! It appears Martin guitar fans are warming to the thermoplastic case - the perfect body armor for your dreadnought. Prices on this case are climbing like an F15 fighter jet. The outer case was engineered with tight tolerances. It looks like it will float in a flood like a Volkswagen Bug. Tight latches (5) with a key and lock. The interior is covered with soft plush tasteful, dark green material, good sized pocket. No loose corners on mine. Tight fit for my Martin D18, no wiggle room like a good scuba diving wetsuit. Its the right body armor case for your valuable guitar. 5 stars.

It seems like a pretty good case I got it on a price match for 139.00 I would not pay 200.00 for this. The quality control let it get by with 1 of the latches not properly aligned. However I can live with it, this is just the way manufacturers are these days. No reflection on zZounds although I would have thought they would have caught it before shipping it to a customer.

Musical Background:
