This is the greatest sounding analog synth reissue ever as far as I am concerned. In my comparisons it actually sounds better than the original! It's been painstakingly manufactured down to the materials that the original used in the circuit boards. Leave it to Moog to reissue this beast in all it's original glory. This thing sounds unbelievably good. All the depth and richness of the original Model D are there. This Moog has three oscillators: and they are all tremendous. All the punch of the original is there too. You can get huge drums with this thing, filthy leads, but the strength of the Model D lies in the bass. The square wave is outrageous. The triangle is unbelievably smooth. Add the glide and you have ths perfect sounding bass. The external input volume is addictive. Just when you thought things couldn't get bigger! The downside of the Model D is the limited modulation. You've got to invest in a cp-251 CV module or some of the other Moogerfoogers to add to the modulation.

This certainly lived up to the hype for me and I love the price and extra features vs vintage Moogs. Absolutely beautiful, fat sound...cannot play without smiling. I love the attention to detail and I love supporting this company.

It is such a pleasure to play the minimoog model D. Still learning my way around this anolog synth. The sounds are limitless and stand out among digital synths. There is a rich tone and depth of sound that's not present in the modern keyboards. Buy it while they last.
