This guitar is indeed made in China but don't let that throw you off. The people who build these guitars are luthiers who know their craft and it is obvious that these guitars are produced in the highest quality both inside and out. Research the company and you will easily find videos and reviews to testify to this. The Merida A15-DCES is beautiful! It is flawless! The sound is full and rich and the sustain on this instrument is incredible! It tunes easy and stays in tune. I am heavy handed when I play and this guitar can handle it with ease. It also sounds great when softly strumming. I was stuck on Taylor and Martin. Well, This is the brand that for me beats out them all. You can't find anything as good or better for the price either. This company is fairly new to the market but they are making their mark for great quality at fair prices. If you love instruments made by folks with the highest standards then check out this company. This particular guitar is extremely impressive and has lead me to look forward to purchasing another model from Merida.
