I know these were designed specifically for the Mackie speakers, so I find it odd that the fit is not quite perfect. When using them properly, with the tapered side on top and the solid piece in the sub, the top speaker has a gentle tilt. For a $4,000 speaker system, I found this odd. I turn them upside down to keep the top straight and deal with having to 'wiggle' the speaker off at the end of the night. had to check sound and support (although neither applies)
