Hello, I have just purchased the Mackie 32R for one of my "rack" systems. This is an upgrade from the mackie DL 1608. The mixer sits with a DBX drive rack and 7 Behringer inuke 6000 amps. There are10 Shure wireless MICS pre wired and a 50' 16 channel sub snake pre wired. I can literally roll in and be set up to run a show for 2000 people in 30 min with the assistance of a loader. This system is used every week from Thursday to Sunday. I mount the wireless router out on top of the speaker stacks when necessary for continuous wireless connection. My work flow using the IPAD is confident and easy after just a few gigs. For my first practice experience I hired a band to practice at my ware house and I "experimented" on their rehearsal. The Mackie DL32 is well worth the money spent.

I bought this unit for two purposes, one to replace an aging analog mixer with my band and the other to replace a fire wire interface at my home for recording into a DAW. it is very simple to operate using the Master Fader app. As for using it as an interface for the computer it was a bit tricky to get the settings correct within Cubase but, I was over thinking things and now all is good. Great build quality, very quiet unit the DSP's appear to do a good job as well! As usual I received great help from zZounds the shipping was fast.

Researched several similar mixers by other manufacturers and found that the Mackie was the perfect fit for my band's needs. I could rave for days about all the cool features but all you have to do is read the mackie info. Head and shoulders above the rest. he updated Master Fader APP now has even more functions and tools which allowed me to get rid of more rack mounted equipment. The load keeps getting lighter and the sound keeps getting better.

Even people with out "a clue about music" could tell the difference in our sound. As with any new technology, there is a learning curve to get everything the way you like it, but this one has a VERY short curve. Gave it a 4 star for Ease because it is NOT easy, but it is also not hard...just takes time. Super move on out part.

I am the sound designer for a private elementary school in Chicago. A couple of years ago, we were faced with running out of channels on our Mackie VLZ 16 system for the middle school musical. In addition, we were looking for a solution to a common problem. Since the VLX was on a shelf in the audio rack on a stage (gymatorium) that is used regularly for spectator seating for sports, it was common to need to re-center the mixer (EQ and faders) any time we needed to use the sound system. With the DL32R, we now have a robust, repeatable system that the facilities staff can use without extensive training, and which is impervious to manipulation by students--or anyone for that matter. The DL gave us the headroom we needed for musicals (we're up to 24 inputs), soft patching for speaker selection, backstage monitoring (we never had it before), and the ability to provide custom feeds for things like video production. In addition, for stage production, we've eliminated the 16x4 snake we used to drag around the stage wall.
