"Definately the most bang for your buck!!!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I'm sure I'll have this little gem till the day I open a professional studio and will have to upgrade to a much bigger console. Untill then, its hear to stay!
Sound
The sound is ridiculous!!! Before buying the 802-VLZ3 I was only using a M-Audio 610 interface for my mics and line-ins. Don't get me wrong, the M-Audio pre's are nice and have great sound, but the pre's on the Mackie 802-VLZ3 are HUGE!!! Big sound, lots of headroom, and so sensitive when it comes to mics. I was doing a mic check the other day and faintly heard a train wistle 2 miles away(impressive)!
Features
This compact mixer has everthing the big boys have. Its has too many features and ways to route the sound than I have time to write this review.
Ease of Use
If you have used sound mixers before, you wont have any trouble. If your like me and have piddled with mixers- you'll have to navigate a little and then it becomes old hat.
Quality
It would take a Tamahawk missle to penetrate the solid construction of this mixer.
Value
Great value!
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to use support but, have heard from friends in the industry that it isn't Mackie's strong point.
The Wow Factor
For a mixer, it has a look and feel that showboats over others.

Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
Overall, this mixer will do best in any situation where a small mixing console is needed. Whether it be recording or being thrown into a bin for live sound, this Mackie will do the trick!!
Sound
This is a very clean sounding mixer with minimal hum. I use it in live sound and it sounds better than our main mixer!
Features
This is quite a feature-packed console! It's very flexible in many conditions such as sending multiple channels other than the two main outs.
Ease of Use
Everything is simple and straight forward. The manual is a bit confusing, but the actual product is simple and great!
Quality
Mackie really shines with quality here. Immediately after taking it out of the box, I notice how SOLID the mixer felt. The awesome sound quality and durability helped reinforce my respect for Mackie. This mixer has been through a lot in this past year and it has held up flawlessly.
Value
With the quality and flexibility in mind, this is an excellent value!
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to use support, but my friend says they are helpful.
The Wow Factor
All metal design with VLZ preamps...WHY NOT?!

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
SATISFIED AND MOR DEN HAPPY I COPPED IT! (MAD THAT IT TOOK ME TILL NOW CUZ I "LITERALLY" BEEN MISSIN OUT!!)
Sound
THE SOUND IS CRISP/CRYSTAL CLEAR!! IF U DAT SIZZLE DEN JUST CRANK UP THA HI-FRE KNOB, IF U WANNA SOUND NATURAL JUS TWIST THA MID-FRE KNOB, PERSONALLY I DONT BOOST UP THA LOW 2 MUCH BUT IT IS A GOOD USEFUL FEATURE TO HAVE(USUALLY KEEP IT A LIL UNDER THA "U")
Features
LIKE UP TOP THE "3-BAND EQ" FEATURE, REAL USEFUL! N SAVES U TIME FROM STARIN AT A DAMN SCREEN FOR HELLA LONG! THE "VOLUME CONTROLS"- I CAN TURN DOWN MY HEADPHONES N TURN UP THA MONITERS A JUS A LIL FOR MORE BASS REPONSE AND THE "PHANTOM POWER BUTTON" TURN OFF WHEN READY TO MIX, NO MORE HAVIN TO TURN OFF MY MONITERS WHEN TRYING TO RECORD AND TURN BACK ON WHEN DONE!
Ease of Use
"JUST AT 1ST" tha ease of use isnt to much of the mixers fault but i found out i couldnt just plug in and use, i had to figure out how to connect it to my interface becuz PROTOOLS still needs a m-audio device connected in order to record.. other then dat after i figured out its "EASY"! THE MANUAL PRETTY MUCH EXPLAINS EVERYTHING AND WIT DETAIL..
Quality
TOP QUALITY! LOW NOISE, CRISP, STURDY, SEALED SO DAT NO DUST GETS IN
Value
